Step off the grid for some R&R and a unique experience

I gave my daughters, ages 12 and 15 an experience gift for Christmas this year. We got to spend two nights in Whitetail during our Christmas break. We have been fascinated with Tiny Houses and wanted to have a chance to see what living in one would be like for a couple days. It was cute and cozy. Although it was cold, with temps in teens and single digits, the space heater and electric fireplace provided sufficient heat for us. We loved walking the trails on the property. The bridges that went across the creek were so much fun! Bob Hopp was very helpful to us. We appreciate his help and prompt reply to our texts. We enjoyed several delicious meals at The Hamilton Family Restaurant. Reasonable prices, a huge variety on the menu, and delicious food. We made great memories here and hope to return again!

We loved the Whitetail Cabin.

  • 4 of 5

Bob(owner) , Paris, and London(dogs) were great hosts. The Cabin was unique because of the compost toilet and outdoor shower. My husband and I enjoy getting out of our comfort zone, so this was perfect for us. We would love to come back and spend a weekend it the captains quarters and the new cabin.

This was the perfect setting for a much-needed get-away. Serene, quiet setting surrounded by nature tucked cozily into a darling tree house.

Unique experience!

  • 5 of 5

Rustic, peacefull and quiet! My husband and I only spent a single night there which is unfortunate because it was wonderful! We enjoyed the company of "Paris" and "London" the friendly dogs who live there and the shower outside was very cool....even included a little frog!!!! It was beautiful and not too close to the other Tree house or the owners house so private enough. Loved the journal on the coffee table where you record your thoughts, date and where your from! We loved it!
