About Krista Tremonti

We are originally from southern Michigan. We moved to Alden in 1998 to start our own businesses and raise our 3 children in this charming, small town up north where we spent our own childhood vacations. We love this area and how it has shaped our family. We live on 5 acres nearby the Farm House. The Farm House has been a very heart felt renovation project for us that we hope to own, share with our family & rent to new found friends for generations to come! Phil & Krista

What makes this farmhouse unique

Although completely renovated, we think you will love the charm that still resides in our Farm House. We worked hard to keep the special details you would expect from an early 1900's home. Notice the solid wood counter tops we constructed from the original ceiling joists we removed in order to create flat ceilings in the house. A large piece of the past preserved and certainly celebrated!

Very Nice. Clean. Great Place To stay

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented this house with 2 other couples, it was very spacious for 6 adults and a 4 year old. Very clean and had all you could possibly need in a house. There is no air but it stays cool when closed up during the day and opened at night. The walking trails are very nice. And the yard games they provide are fun. The owners were very nice and made sure everything was good to go when we arrived. I enjoyed the sunroom in the morning with my cup of coffee. I would definitely stay again. It felt like a home not just a house.

Better Then a 5 Star Hotel!!!

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough about our stay at the "Farm House"! My family of seven stayed here earlier this summer during our annual family vacation. The house and surrounding grounds are even more beautiful than the pictures and the amenities were amazing! We really did not need to bring a thing but our clothes and food. Krista and Phil were gracious hosts and available anytime we needed a thing. They also have a wealth of knowledge regarding the surrounding area and places to go and things to do! We took them up on many of their suggestions without disappointment!!! Look forward to coming back!!!

The Farmhouse was great! We loved the fire pit in the backyard, mowed walking trails and patio in back. We loved the style and character of the home and would definitely stay there again!

Adorable, Cozy Farmhouse!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful place to spend our time while enjoying the Torch Lake area!! Krista and Phil were excellent hosts - very warm and friendly! The house...just perfect. Roomy, comfortable, and extremely well equipped. We loved being able to do a fire at night and explore the trails behind the house. It was a perfect way to end our days on the water. The little town of Alden is right up the road as well as a good boat launch. We kept our boat at DeWitt Marine which is also close by. We were so happy with our choice to stay at this charming farmhouse!!

Comfortable and inviting

  • 5 of 5

Traveled to Alden with husband and 2 sons (13&4) for 3 days as the second half of our MI vacation. The farmhouse was absolutely wonderful. No detail was overlooked in stocking and planning the layout. Very spacious yard for the boys to unwind, the house was immaculate and so comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. The only downside would be not a lot of choices for dining in the area. We traveled to Traverse City one day and enjoyed that area very much. Rented a boat and putted around torch lake and that was a highlight for us. Definitely stop on your way in for groceries.
