Wonderful 3-Bed/1-Bath English Basement Apartment on Maryland Avenue, 1.5 blocks to beach.

Park your car and relax for your vacation... You're at the beach! Located on the 2nd block of Maryland Avenue (a quiet street), this property is just steps to all the wonderful things downtown Rehoboth has to offer. There are two off-street parking spaces behind the home, and I also provide a parking permit if needed.

Each bedroom has a queen bed, pillows, and a vertical fan. The beds have quilts, but you will need to bring your own sheets, towels, and other linens.

For those who like to cook while on vacation, the kitchen features a gas stove and oven, dishwasher, and large breakfast bar/countertop for prep. The breakfast bar has two stools. Also, there is a table with fold-down sides with four chairs stored inside of it. When coupled with two occasional chairs in the living room, you can comfortably seat six at the table. The kitchen is fully stocked, including coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, hand mixer, pots, pans, bakeware, etc.. Also, since I used to be a renter, I know it can be a hassle when you forget to bring things like plastic wrap, aluminum foil, paper towels, and toilet paper. So, I keep those in stock at the unit. Even if you discover that you’re missing something, there are two Lingos Market convenience stores around the corner.

The condo has a wall unit air conditioner in the living room that cools the entire condo very nicely (one of the benefits of being below grade). It also has a free-standing air conditioner unit in the back bedroom of the condo (the farthest point from the wall unit) to ensure that you can get the place nice and cool even on the hottest days of summer!

The condo features high-speed internet, cable, and a TiVO DVR so that you can record your favorite shows while you’re at the beach. The living room has two queen futons and two occasional chairs which provide plenty of seating.

Next to the main entrance to the condo, you’ll find a large patio area. One half of that patio is for your use during your stay, and includes a table with 4 chairs. At one corner of the patio is an outside shower for rinsing off after a day at the beach.

Several folks have asked what I mean by “English basement apartment”. An English basement is one that is partially below ground and partially above. So, in the case of my condo, you walk down a private stairwell to enter the condo. However, there are multiple high-set windows (about 5 feet off the ground) throughout the condo which make it 'light and airy' (in the words of one of my early renters). The ceiling is around 6’ 8”, and there is a lot of natural light in the unit, so the space feels quite comfortable. I have stayed here myself, and I love it! Also, if you search for other 2- or 3-bedroom condos this close to the beach, you will see that average rents are $2,000 or more per week. My place is clean and loved, and I bet that after you stay here once, you’ll want to come back. I certainly hope you will!

One note: Although I love animals and know they are family, I don’t allow pets in the condo. There are too many renters who have allergies. Also, I allowed 4-legged guests years ago in another property I had, and I found that it could be very challenging to get the place as clean as the next renters deserved.

Safety: If you are traveling with little ones, I have (in the pantry closet) child safety caps that you can put on the stove. I just ask that you please remove them when you are ready to leave. Also, I have installed a propane alarm that will sound if the gas is left on without the flame igniting.

Most of the condos in downtown Rehoboth are 2-bedroom 1-bath units. This property offers 3 bedrooms and an amazing location at a lower price than the smaller 2-bedroom units.

What makes this condo unique

I love being able to walk to the beach and come back to the condo for lunch whenever I feel like it. And you can't beat the convenience for restaurants and night life: the majority of Rehoboth's downtown restaurants and shops are within 3 blocks of the condo.

Great location!

This property was excellent. It had an awesome location and seems small but the three bedrooms allowed our family of five to properly spread out and get the kids some rest after long days at the beach.

The owner was responsive, had everything we needed and was simply awesome.

Great location. Never had to move the car.

We like this location. It's not the ritz but it's good for the location at the beach. You are in the basement apartment. There are a couple of signs around the place warning about low ceilings but I still hit my head pretty hard 2x. Once going into the bathroom and once going up the stairs on exit. I'm 5' 11" so not an NBA star but still had to concentrate on ducking down.

Very enjoyable stay

My family and I enjoyed our stay very much. The condo is very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and everything you need. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing stay...

We came for a weekend getaway and we had a blast. We loved that we could just park the car and walk everywhere. Jim was awesome from the very first interaction. It was only 2 of us in the 3 bedroom apartment and Jim was nice enough to give us a last-minute discount. We were also able to check-in early and check-out later which is always great for travelers. Jim's place was very welcoming and comfortable and we really had a great time. All the neighbors we met were super nice too :)

Another great time.

This is now our 3rd time staying here and we had a wonderful experience again. There were 5 adult women, and we had plenty of space to sit and just hang out, which is important to us. It's incredibly close to our favorite bars, restaurants and shops, so we really can just park the car and walk everywhere.

Found on the 2nd beach block of Maryland Avenue, this location is surprisingly quiet considering the full hustle and bustle of downtown Rehoboth is just around the corner. Walk up half a block to enjoy Lake Gerar, or walk down 1.5 blocks and you're on the beach!

Please note that the security deposit will only be charged to your card 20 days before your visit, and (assuming no problems), you will automatically receive a full refund of the security deposit 7 days after your visit. So, the security deposit will be on your credit card for less than a month.

I now do $200 refundable damage deposits, which go back to you automatically 7 days after your stay unless there is damage. However, if you prefer to do the non-refundable $59 property damage protection (PDP) plan, I can do that as well. The PDP plan just seemed like a waste of money to me for my renters, since all of my renters have been great with the condo (thanks everyone).
