About this property

Charming And Historic 1918 Hollywood Bungalow

Visiting Los Angeles? Whether for business or pleasure, or if this is your first visit or you’ve visited numerous times, we invite you to relax in our charming and historic bungalow located in the heart of Hollywood. Tucked at the base of the Hollywood Hills and just minutes from the Hollywood sign, Universal Studios, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Griffith Park, the Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood Reservoir, this charming 1918 bungalow features all of the amenities of home. This home away from home is a two bedroom, one bath that comfortably sleeps four people but can accommodate up to six. Our bungalow is conveniently located between all of the major movie studios, attractions, venues, and restaurants with quick and easy access to the Los Angeles metro and freeways.

Enjoy the outdoor patio and private garden with a complementary bottle of wine or explore the area using our Hollywood Bungalow guide that includes everything from our favorite restaurants and hiking trails to tourist activities, or browse at the Hollywood Farmers’ Market, which is open every Sunday.

There is no reason to drive since everything is close to the house and there is only street parking. Some of our favorite spots such as Musso and Frank Grill, Hollywood’s oldest existing restaurant built in 1919 or Amoeba Music, the world’s largest independent record store are within walking distance. The bungalow is located just two blocks from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and three blocks from Sunset Boulevard. Take a stroll and visit Hollywood & Highland, home of the Kodak Theater and the Academy Awards, the Hollywood Wax Museum, the Guinness World Record Museum or check out the TCL Chinese Theater where you can pose next to a movie stars’ hand or foot prints. Visit the iconic Capitol Records building near Hollywood and Vine. Enjoy some of Hollywood's hottest nightlife, located just two to three blocks away.

We're a ten to fifteen minute drive to most of Hollywood's major film studios, and just a five-minute drive to Universal Studios and City Walk. Listen to fantastic music under the stars at the Hollywood Bowl, or catch an award winning show at the Pantages Theater, Southern California’s showplace for live Broadway productions and the greatest movie palace from Hollywood’s Golden Age. The Hollywood Bowl is the largest natural outdoor amphitheater in the United States and the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and home of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and voted by Pollstar magazine as the Best Major Outdoor Venue ten years in a row.

If you are still considering your options for your vacation, remember that vacation rentals are a wonderful way to reduce the costs of any vacation or work trip. Our bungalow has two twin beds, a queen-sized bed with an organic cotton mattress, a sofa that converts into a full-sized bed and is stocked with bedding, china, cutlery, and an outdoor gas grill. You can use the fully equipped kitchen to make a home-cooked meal or use it to reheat your take out from one of Los Angeles’ stylish restaurants. Stock our home with breakfast food, drinks, and light meals for your stay and save while in LA.

Cute Old Hollywood House
The house was just as advertised. It had everything you would need for a short stay in the kitchen and plenty of extra towels. There are several good restaurants close by and the house is an easy walk to Hollywood Blvd. I was worried it would be noisy with the proximity to the freeway and I didn't notice the noise at all. Rosa was very communicative and easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again if I found myself back in Hollywood.

Hollywood Bowl Locale
Rented the cozy house for easy access to the Hollywood Bowl. The home was adorable bungalow from 1918 and full of charm. Small but perfect since we were on the go. Rosa was very accessible via email and helped us out on all inquiries. Walking distance to a lot of Hollywood fun, including the Hollywood Bowl and the beds were comfy and house clean! Would rent from her again.

Couldn't check in
started off badly as the door code did not work. Had to stay elsewhere that night. Still trying to get a refund for that first night from the owner. On the plus side, the owner was responsive but things didn't get resolved for a day or so.

Hello and welcome! My name is Rosa Loaiza and I have been the owner of this charming bungalow since 1992. I have lived in Los Angeles for over 20 years and absolutely love the city. I have two daughters, one who is a U.S. Navy Sailor, and another who is a Buyer for a well known floral and foods gift retailer and distribution company. One of my daughters currently resides in Virginia and my other daughter resides in Florida. I have traveled throughout the United States and love to explore new places but for me, Los Angeles will always hold a special place in my heart for me and my small dog, Cali. I am a case manager and love the challenge of helping other people reach their potential. I welcome you to Los Angeles and I hope that you enjoy your stay while you are here!

Why they chose this property

My husband and I bought this house as our first home in 1992. We fell in love with this charming bungalow and absolutely loved the location, being so close to many attractions, amenities and venues. The history of Hollywood and the community feel are what make this home truly special. I hope that you enjoy your stay here and that this can be your home away from home while visiting Los Angeles, one of the most diverse and exciting cities in the world.

What makes this property unique

I hope that you enjoy staying in this charming and historic bungalow that has been fully updated. It's the opportunity to explore a wonderful and exhilarating city while having the comforts and privacy of home. Enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of coffee while sitting in the garden patio, or making a meal in the kitchen. Walk down and explore all of the attractions that are right outside our front door. All of this and more, while saving money.
