Overview

About the property

This is a 2 bedroom, one bath with views of the Mission Mts. and East Bay

The Finley Point Farmhouse is a vintage farmstead nestled on 22 acres with panoramic views of the Mission Mountains and the east bay of Flathead Lake. This warm and welcoming home has 2 spacious bedrooms, a large classic bathroom with tub and shower, a separate laundry room and a cloak room that connects to the bedrooms, bath and kitchen. The house is quite comfortable for a family of four and the queen sofa sleeper is available for extra guests. I’ve been told it is a comfortable sleep.

The kitchen has lots of windows that look east into the pasture and the mountains. It is well equipped with coffee maker, or french press, microwave, dishwasher and range. The foodies will appreciate the spice rack that houses fresh herbs from our local health food store, a blender, sharp knives, cutting boards and a electric beater. There are pots and pans to prepare the perfect meal. I have table settings for eight.

The living/dining room is large enough to entertain your guests. To the south is a bank of picture windows, so sit anywhere and have a perfect view of the Mission Mountains and the Flathead Lake. Watch deer and wild turkeys in the nearby fields and our sheep grazing in the pasture. Open the french doors and step out to the porch and have a morning cup of coffee. I’ve provided a few board games and playing cards in case the weather turns or you just want to relax. We provide free internet for all your devices.

The Farmhouse is a perfect get away for the family. A family that wants a little taste of the farm life, as we have a few chickens, some sheep, a cherry orchard and a large garden you may help yourself to.

Boats are welcome. We have plenty of room for your boat and trailer. The Finley Point State Park is about a mile and half down the road. It has an excellent boat launch, RV hookups, camping, picnicking and swimming. The Farmhouse is close to Glacier Park, a 90 minute drive to the west entrance with some fun stops along the way.

The Farmhouse is a sweet compliment to The Barn Wedding Venue just a 1/4 mile south. The bride and her attendees can stay here and prep for the big day. There are large mirrors in every room for the confident perfect look.

About Anita Hansen

My family were farmers in Iowa; my husbands family are farmers in New York. We met working for the Forest Service in Montana exploring different career options. We later married and had 3 children whom are now adults. My career path took me into Nursing and my husband is a Fisheries Biologist.

Anita Hansen purchased this farmhouse in 2008

Why Anita Hansen chose Polson

We moved to the Flathead in 1990, purchasing our current home at that time. We lived next door to the farm with its beautiful open fields, views of the East Bay and the Mission Mountains for close to 20 years. Nothing obstructs our views. The farm went up for sale, and concern that the property would be subdivided, we purchased the 22 acres adjoining our property in 2008. We both have farming in our blood, so the original 3 acres grew into a small farm.

What makes this farmhouse unique

Migratory birds in the spring and fall can be viewed from the house. Other wildlife such as wild turkeys, deer and bears all live on Finely Point. It is tranquil, private and relaxing. There are good roads for biking, as there is minimal traffic. We are less than 2 hours from West Glacier. Use the Farmhouse as home base to travel and site see. The Barn wedding venue is a 1/4 mile from us. This is the perfect place for the bride and her entourage to prepare for the big day.

Perfect spot out in the country!

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for peace and quiet out in the country this is the perfect spot. A cute country farm house fully equipped with a beautiful view of Flathead Lake and sprawling fields with deer and sheep. Our host was extremely inviting and friendly. The home had everything we needed. The location was minutes from the water and the town was a short drive away. We would stay here again in the future!

Beautiful views and conveniently located to town

  • 5 of 5

The property is immaculately maintained with a feel of the country. Anita is a perfect hostess and everything was just as advertised. There is plenty of space for our family of four to spread out and unwind, and with no TV to distract there is incentive to spend the days outside. A wonderful time.

Relaxing with gorgeous views and easy lake access

  • 5 of 5

The property was everything I wanted for a weekend getaway. The house is very quaint and decorated nicely. Anita provides all the basics you'll need: linens, towels, lake towels, coffee, creamer, soap, shampoo. Well stocked kitchen area so you can bring groceries and cook.

Easy drive to Glacier National Park and the Bigfork/Kalispell/Whitefish area. Easy lake access at numerous state parks nearby, including Finley Point State Park which is a 3 minute drive from the farmhouse.

Pretty little slice of heaven!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four LOVED our stay at the little red farmhouse on the hill. We enjoyed peace, quiet, beautiful views and quick access to relatives on North Finley Point. Anita is the nicest host ever, and her decorating taste is farmhouse-flawless! Highly recommended.
