About paolo barzman
Hi, I'm actually not a professional real estate owner/landlord... I'm a film and TV director... who travels a lot... lives mostly in Montreal. I've been renting my place through VRBO for the last 10 years... it's been really good; some of the people who rented my place have actually become friends... I've only had joyful happy people who enjoyed the joyful happy vibe of the place...
paolo barzman purchased this Studio in 1999
Why paolo barzman chose 3rd Arrondissement
Its location makes it special of course... but also, unlike many rentals, you really feel as if you were in a home, not a "Ikea" showroom... it's a special place...
What makes this Studio unique

The best location in Paris
This is a very nice apartment in perhaps the best location in Paris. Closer to the haut Marais than the lower Marais but smack in the middle of the action. You can walk anywhere and excellent shopping abounds. The apartment is cozy and well supplied with all a vacationer might need. Communication with the very atttentive owner was excellent. We spent two weeks there and were very comfortable with the apartment and with the neighborhood. I have been to Paris many times and you cant do much better location wise. A few metro stations are within short walking distance providing the visitor with various options to get anywhere you want in this beautiful city. Highly recommended.
Great value for location
Easy to reserve and communications was good. Clean and as described. Kitchen space is a bit awkward, but I didn’t come to Paris to cook! Very quiet and comfortable. A minor issue but it was dealt with. Owner seems to truly be a nice and honest person.
My partner and I had a lovely stay in Le Maris chez Paolo. The apartment could not be better situated both in terms of neighborhood amenities and also exploring greater ( and I mean great) Paris. And, as others have mentioned, pretty much everything you might want or need is provided in the apartment (except, as others have mentioned, Light. It is dim even on a sunny day).
Paolo is very attentive to queries and other communication. The vibe in the apartment is as he describes: artsy, funky, and colorful. In fact we purchased an African mask while there and it looked very good with the existing mix.
Perhaps worth mentioning for some people: the 1.5 bathrooms listed are a WC with sink near the entry and a tub and sink/vanity sharing space with the laundry facilities across the apartment. Everything works well, and it is so great to have laundry on premises.
If you do take Paolo's advice and try to visit Chez Nénesse, beware it is closed on Saturdays. We saved it for last and were disappointed. Next time!
Thank you, Paolo, for creating such a sweet retreat in a great neighborhood and welcoming us to it.
Fantastic stay in le Marais
We loved our stay in Paolo’s Place. The apartment was exactly as in the pictures. It was quiet, warm and cosy even on a cold night. The bed was comfy and we slept well. Everything you need was provided and the place was spotless. The washer and dryer worked well.
The location was fantastic. Lots of cafes and shops as soon as you step out of the building. Picasso museum is visible across the square.
I would highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again.
Thank you Michael...! Paolo
Lovely apartment in the Marais
So many positive things to say about this apartment, not sure where to begin. First, the owner was extremely easy to communicate with and he sent us a lot of useful information for the area. It was located in a charming part of the Marais with many restaurants, bakeries, groceries, pharmacies, shops, and anything else you would need close by. The apartment had plenty a room for two people and all the conveniences of home. Having a washer and dryer was an extra bonus. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed to make a nice meal. The apartment even had a lot of essentials available for us such as an umbrella, shopping bag, laundry detergent, blow dryer, kitchen condiments and other personal items which was a very nice touch. The neighbors were nice and friendly. We would highly recommend this lovely apartment and would definitely consider staying here again. Merci Paolo for allowing us to stay in your lovely apartment. Au revoir
In the Heart of the Marais, food rue de Bretagne, which is two minutes walking - Great Vegetables, Butcher, Fish, Cheese, Bread (I will tell the best bakery to get the best bread, ) - here is the comment of one tenant:
