BAYSIDE BUNGALOW is the perfect place for active singles, young or retired couples, or a small family who wants to be conveniently located near the WATER in Sonoma County's WINE Country . ESPECIALLY great for those who love SEAFOOD, wine-tasting and watersports: SURFING, BOATING, FISHING, KAYAKING, WIND-SURFING, PADDLE-BOARDING, KITE-FLYING, CLAM-DIGGING....AND, other activities! Or...just relax with a glass of Sonoma County WINE while you listen to the sound of the fog horn and waves breaking at Doran Park.

ACTIVITIES GALORE: Great restaurants, wine-tasting and shops within walking distance (go crabbing/fishing on a charter or rent a kayak). Just walk out the front door of the Bungalow and in two minutes--reach the bay where you can get into your kayak and paddle around the bay to watch the sea lions, otters and many, many, many bird species. Or, rent a horse and go on a trail ride through the cypress trees and sand dunes and gallop on the beach. Or, go to the town of Bodega and see the "schoolhouse" and church where Alfred Hitchcock filmed scenes shown in "The Birds" movie.

Doggie owners can romp at the newly created, off-leash dog-park beach at Doran Park, or head up to Goat Rock and Blind beach (off-leash) for a long walk, followed by a picnic with a bottle of great wine and crab sandwiches.

Bayside Bungalow is a cozy 1 bedroom duplex perfect for a single, couple or parents with small children. The bedroom has a queen-sized memory-foam and there are folding sleeping mats for the children. There's a combined living room/kitchen fully equipped with DIRECTV in the front room and bedroom (with HBO, SHOWTIME, etc.,). Oh, and you'll notice lots of original oil and watercolor paintings on the walls done by the owner and friends (they're for sale...).

Since COVID-19 began impacting all of us, we have taken precautions, so please be assured that the Bungalow is thoroughly cleaned, with all bedding, linens and surfaces disinfected between guests.

(Note: Due to the hike in the cost of living, we are discounting our daily rate to make your little getaway more affordable.)

Great experience

This was the perfect amount of space for 2 adults, 2 small kids, and 1 large dog. Pamela was a great host and so kind and friendly! Booking and checkin were easy and we had a great time.

Dog friendly Bodega Bay

Clean, accommodating, centrally located and the Hostess, Pamela , was very knowledgeable and able to point us in the right direction for all our needs. Now Fritz, our mini schnauzer, was pampered by the accommodations made by Pamela and many restaurants are doggie friendly. Thanks for everything Pamela we will visit again.

Never again!

No mention in description the the unit shares a thin uninsulated wall with owners dwelling so sounds and cooking smells from owners unit were very noticeable. Place was quite expensive for what you got. Views of the bay was really views of the RV park in the back. Noisy busy road with speeding cars. But, most disturbing was the fact the owner went into our unit while we were gone without asking us (said she had to put something in our freezer bc hers was not working). We noticed something was amiss when we came back to the unit. She approached us after the fact and bc we didn’t make a big deal of it right then, it happened again when we left for dinner.

We are native Californians who migrated from San Francisco to Sonoma County in the 60's.

Why they chose this property

It has always been a dream of ours to have a home on the coast (there's only so much property on the coast and there won't be any more added, so....). We wanted a home close to the water that we could live in when we retire; but until that time, we are happy to share it with other water lovers!

What makes this property unique

Steps from the bay, accessible fishing charters, kayak and horse rentals, hiking trails, and walking distance to 8 local restaurants and eateries. ALL that--and the sound of the foghorn and seals barking--makes the Bayside Bungalow the perfect place for weekend get-away. It's just a great, dog-friendly, cozy place to eat great food, drink great wine, and relax...relax...relax!
