You can also get to Rab from Rijeka, Zadar, Sibenik, Split or Dubrovnik by taking one of 'Jadrolinija' liners. They sail few times a week all the year round.
In case You decide to travel by bus, there is a bus line from Rijeka which also drives all the year round, and also from Zagreb only in summer season.
Our house is situated at the beginnig of Barbat village, about 5 minutes of driving from Misnjak ferry dock. It is about 100 m away from sea and about 4 km from the city of Rab.
We are happy to introduce Island Rab this way to you. Rab is small but beautiful island, island of nature, peaceful life and harmony. There is no industry whatsoever on the island, so the Rab islanders live predominately of tourism and want to keep it in such a manner as to preserve the environment.
Rab's tourist industry won many prizes as the best destination in its tourism past (more than 100 years of organised tourism) and Rab's cooks and bar-tenders have won many international prizes. Others are fishermen and peasants breeding sheeps, taking upon olive trees and doing gardening.
Today Rab is north adriatic HOLIDAY PARADISE with lavish vegetation, mild climate and clear blue sea, great place for holiday through out the year. Autmun or spring visits are ideal if you love biking, walking, meditation, nature or sightseeing.
Medieval Rab town, one of the prettiest in the region, is built on a narrow peninsula which encloses a sheltered harbour - stone buildings climb from the harbour to a cliff overlooking the sea.
