About the property

3 bedroom 2-1/2 bath beautiful home with great views

Welcome to Happy Acres! This beautiful and well-maintained cabin sits on a knoll overlooking a nice stream that waterfalls into a pond! The surrounding grounds are landscaped with native plants and there are many places to sit and enjoy the surroundings. This property is surrounded by a forest of old growth deciduous trees--it will show spectacular fall color that you can enjoy from your porch.

The master bedroom is on the main floor with a private bathroom. Upstairs are two comfortable bedrooms with a queen and full size beds that share a full bathroom. Additional sleeping on the trundle day bed in the loft area.

The wood accents and some of the furnishings and flooring were made from trees that grew on the property!

The property adjoins the Watson-Cooper Heritage Conservancy. This project is intended to extend from Table Rock in SC through Ceaser's Head, Dupont and Gorges state park. Lots of room for exploring, biking and hiking. Enjoy wading in the pond or just relaxing in the nearby swing. No need to leave the property--plenty of wildlife and beautiful surroundings to appreciate.

But when you are ready to explore the area, you will find that we are at the center of great things to do! Dupont State Forest with its magnificent waterfalls, horse, biking and hiking trails is just down the road. Brevard is only about 7 miles away with shopping, arts and crafts and great restaurants! Go the other direction and enjoy the day in Hendersonville. Other parks in the vicinity include Pisgah National Forest, Gorges State Park and Caeser's Head--all the hiking you want with lots of scenic waterfalls and overlooks. Access the Blue Ridge Parkway and take in some spectacular scenery. Be sure to go and see the Pretty Place Chapel while you are here--just a few miles down the road. Happy Acres is just off the East Fork river--known for excellent trout fishing!

Wonderful home in a serene location

  • 5 of 5

My family had an absolutely perfect stay at this property. The house itself met our needs in every way - the kitchen was great and well appointed, the beds were comfortable, and it was easy to sit back and relax in the space. There are even puzzles and games in the house that we took advantage of. The location was great as well - although it's a little difficult to find, that makes it a real winner in my opinion because we were far from busy roads, noise, light pollution, etc. We were able to let our dogs roam free on the land without much worry. It's also a great spot for mountain biking. My husband and I were able to get a fun ride in right from the front door. I would absolutely visit again, and I hope to very soon!

Very Quite, Peaceful and Relaxing!!

Loved sitting on the front porch playing games and watching the Hummingbirds at the feeders. Even saw a few deer. Home was very clean and it was nice that we didn't have to go to the store and buy paper products, they were all supplied. Had everything We needed as far as kitchen items.

Was great that there was Firewood cut, we used it inside and outside.

Close to many Waterfalls and Great Hiking.

About 20 min to Bervard

About 40 min toHendersonville

This was the third time we stayed at this house. It was wonderful! We loved being on the porch watching the hummingbirds. The house is also the perfect location for hiking and shopping. We will rent this piece of heaven again!

Excellent cabin! secluded but close to town and close to many adventures

  • 5 of 5

The owner was prompt as this was a last minute decision for a weekend getaway. Ray made a very easy transaction. The location is very secluded with awesome privacy for a nice getaway! The location made it easy for us to visit Dupont forest and the Pisquah forest in one day and do 10 miles of hiking. Saw so many beautiful waterfalls. Ray told us of some great places to eat and beautiful places to see. Next time we will go to the fishing spot he suggested. The house is huge and so well kept and clean. Just beautiful and peaceful. The kitchen had everything you could possible need. Bed was comfortable.I loved that I did not have to run to store to buy toilet paper, dish soap and other paper goods.very stocked . Many rental cabins tell you to bring your own . Loved sitting on the front porch and listen to the waterfall. Saw a deer as we were driving out. The directions to cabin was great, although my GPS took us right there. Only an hour drive to Asheville. A must see is the Pretty Place Chapel on top of the mountian, not far from house. go to web site to check schedule , it may be in use for a wedding. . Thanks again for such a lovely experience in your beautiful well kept home. Well be back.

Welcome Home

  • 5 of 5

All the comforts of home away from home. A beautiful setting, cozy house and thoughtful amenities make this a great vacation getaway spot. From the outdoor fire ring to the creekside swings and the wonderful covered porch, it is easy to enjoy God's beautiful creation in comfort. Hummingbirds and native birds flitting to and from the feeders are delightful. Lots of fun puzzles to work on. Well supplied kitchen. Short distance to lots of great adventures like hikes to High Falls, Triple Falls and Hooker Falls. Also super close to Brevard and Pisgah National Forest where we enjoyed the well known Sliding Rock and the Pisgah Inn. Also, the Cedar Mountain Cafe is delicious. Has been such a relaxing place to spend a few days, sad to leave tomorrow! Hope to come back and stay here again.
