About David Cooper

Hello and thank you for taking the time to look at my listing! I am a career military officer originally from Austin, Texas finishing my last few years of military service in the DC area. I hope you enjoy your time visiting our nation's capital, and if there is anything I can do to assist, please let me know!

Why David Cooper chose Washington DC

Historic Capitol Hill is truly a downtown suburb that offers all the excitement of the city yet retains a safe and small neighborhood feel. The residents here are a tight-knit group comprised mostly of families who possess a strong sense of community. Nestled within the long rows of neighborhood homes you will find pockets of excitement ranging from a multitude of eating establishments to DC's only remaining original public produce market, known as Eastern Market. And of course it's extremely close proximity to the Capitol and various Smithsonian museums puts you literally at the doorstep of our nation's history. It is an absolutely wonderful location for both residents and visitors alike!

What makes this townhome unique

No expense was spared in the complete refurbishment of this house. You will be staying in a historic home complete with modern amenities--1880's on the outside and 2010's on the inside! Location-wise everything you need (restaurants, groceries, shopping, Metro) and everything you want to see (Capitol, Library of Congress, National Mall, Eastern Market, Barracks Row, Smithsonian museums) are just a few blocks away and within easy walking distance. Live amongst the locals and truly feel at home during your visit!

Convenient, convenient, convenient!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the rowhouse couldn't have been better! The place itself is beautiful, and we had plenty of room for 3 people. Very nice bedrooms, bathrooms, and a gorgeous kitchen as well. The real thing that makes this place shine is how close it is to literally everything you want to see in DC. There are several small restaurants and diners around the place as well, so you never have to go far to get some food.

You're about a 10 minute walk to the Capitol Building and Library of Congress. From there, the museums are only another 10 minute walk away. Uber drivers were great in the area as well, had no issues getting to and from the place.

Thanks so much!

Beautifully upgraded, maintained, and close to everything we wanted to see. There are some nice little restaurants just around the corner. We would recommend and would return on a future visit!

Great location and home

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful location for seeing the sights in DC. And the home was updated, beautiful, and had everything we needed. It's a very narrow place, but that's to be expected with a row house.

This was the perfect place for our family of 5 to stay while exploring D.C.

  • 5 of 5

Great location within walking distance of the capital and many other attractions. We enjoyed the building's historic charm with modern comfort and convenience. We drove in from Missouri and parking, while not perfect was actually easier than I expected for such a prime location. The newer washer and dryer were a big plus as they allowed us to pack a little lighter. This property will definitely be tops on the list for our next trip to D.C. !

2017 Washington DC trip

  • 5 of 5

This rental is wonderful and just like the pictures. What you can't see from just a picture is how perfect the location is. We were 4 blocks from the Capital Building, 2 blocks away from the metro, and 1 1/2 blocks from a Starbucks. The neighborhood is wonderful and there are many local restaurants and shops within a block of the condo. If you want a place to stay in DC where you can park the car and leave it until the end of your trip this is the perfect place to stay.

I would highly recommend this location to anyone thinking of going to DC and I have already told several friends about it. I would recommend looking up and printing a copy of the metro map before you come.

The owner is very easy to work with and helpful. This rental is an excellent value and we will stay here again when we come back to DC.
