About Adam and Beverly Cohen
Adam and Beverly Cohen moved to Bennington in 2004 from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for work at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Adam is originally from Queens, NY and Beverly is originally from Newcastle, Pennsylvania. Our main house is in a different location on the same property. We live here with our dog and have invested our lives into restoring and preserving this beautiful property.

Why Adam and Beverly Cohen chose North Bennington
We fell in love with this location because while it is located close to Bennington town it is also private and quiet. The property is beautiful, featuring a large pond stocked with trout and frequented by eagles and blue herons. The outlet stream features a covered bridge and waterfall. There is a vibrant wildlife community that makes a home of the pond and adjacent wetlands.
What makes this Cottage unique
I designed and built this cottage personally with a friend in 2013 to be a beautiful retreat for friends and family to come visit. In the times that we are not personally hosting, we thought that others might enjoy the use of our cottage. It is a truly unique and special location. The covered front porch overlooks the lake and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the evening with friends and family. While it is quiet and private, you can easily walk to the store across the street from our entrance for groceries.

Beautiful!
Such a beautiful cabin! We had the best time! So relaxing and warm. Thank you so much!
Perfect weekend, yet again...
This was our second time staying at this cottage. Perfect setting. Perfect location. Everything was great. We’ll be back for a third time no doubt.
Perfect cottage getaway
Hi we absolutely loved our stay. Perfect size cottage for two people. The lake view from the back porch is breathtaking We were able to bring our dogs and they had the best time hiking and being in Vermont. Location was close to many fun activities and would highly recommend this property. Adam gave us some local, casual restaurants that were delicious.
great place to relax
cozy little place to unwind... peaceful & quite... beautiful few over-looking the pond. Not to far from a quaint little town (Bennington Vermont) for some good food and little shops.
Peaceful cabin with otters!
We really enjoyed our week in the little cabin. Watching the otters play in the pond behind the cottage was a special joy. The cabin would be great for a honeymooning couple, but maybe not so much for an older pair of insomniacs (creaking floorboards.) Not a big deal really, though. The place was very clean and well-maintained. Thanks!
Lovely little getaway
Very clean & well stocked. So happy that we were able to vacation with the dogs. Adam & Beverly went the extra mile to even provide dog dishes, spare leashes & a pet bed which was very considerate.
Thank you

The property is adjacent to the entrance of Bennington College - walking distance - and only a few miles from Southern Vermont College. A short drive to local ski resorts including Prospect Mountain, Mount Snow, Bromley and Stratton. There are many nearby hiking trails. The outlet stores of Manchester are a 25 minute drive away. Historic sites such as the Bennington Battlefield, Bennington Monument, Park McCullough House and the Hildene (family residence of Abraham Lincoln) are all within close proximity. Do not miss a trip to the top of Mount Equinox for fantastic views spring-fall.
