This quaint, clean, 1,088 square foot lakefront cabin/home is on a quiet, 1 acre, very private site, with 245 feet of private waterfront. The pond offers great swimming, fishing, and boating. The location is a perfect spot from which to explore Downeast Coastal Maine all while retreating to the seclusion, privacy and nature that Maine has to offer. The camp is easily accessible, 1.3 miles down a well-maintained scenic dirt road. This private road allows for safe walking or biking. The other side of the road offers views and acreage of Downeast Maine blueberry fields, rocks, hills and mountains. Children and non-aggressive pets are always welcome and invited.

On the main level of the cottage you’ll find an open-concept kitchen/dining/living room and full bathroom. The cottage is wooden post and beam construction throughout. You’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, gas range, refrigerator, and Keurig coffeemaker. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a queen size bed and a loft area with 2 twin beds and sitting area. A futon in the main living area will also sleep 1.

There is a large yard for outdoor recreation, plenty of parking space, a picnic table and wooded fire pit area near the water for roasting hotdogs and s’mores on cooler nights. Or, you can rest in the hammock and read as the wind blows off the water. There are blueberry patches and wild flowers on the property for the picking if you're vacationing during the season. You’ll find a private dock for swimming and boating, 245’ of private water frontage, and an Adirondack double-seater at the water’s edge to enjoy your morning coffee, read a book or observe the duck families swim by.

The cottage rental includes a two-seater Old Town “Loon” kayak, paddles and safety jackets as well as a paddle-boat for your enjoyment. There is a clothesline to dry wet clothing/towels and coin laundry machines 2 miles away.

Rental is available May through October. Spring/Summer/Autumn in Maine is a great time for coastal sightseeing and festivals, as well as hiking, camping, boating, swimming, fishing and fall foliage etc. Enjoy nature walks on camp trails nearby; ride/walk the converted railroad by-way down the road; and dine at the local country store. Quaint and Quiet

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for a peaceful on the water retreat, then this is the place. Fishing with a coffee off the pier at sun up was my routine prior to a day of exploration with the dogs. Dallas & Diane B. Thanks Greg for the accommodations

Second Visit and Still Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second year visiting and we enjoyed it as much as the first time. It is such a comfortable and welcoming site. We had fun with the new trolling boat and, of course, just relaxing - favorite places being on the porch or in the hammock. There is plenty of opportunity for outdoor activities and delicious places to eat nearby. Greg is a great host and is very friendly and easy to reach. We would highly recommend staying at Abram's Pond!

Took my breath away

  • 5 of 5

We have spent August time in Down East Maine every summer for nearly forty years, and our stay at Milam Camp this year was one of the best! This was our first stay here, but it will not be our last. The camp is beautiful, the setting is breath-taking, the location is great. We didn't do a lot of sightseeing because staying at the camp was so enjoyable. The camp itself is so comfortable and attractive that it just invites one to sit and look at the lake, go for another swim, read on the porch. The kitchen is very well equipped; we ate most of our meals there. Every day started with a cup of coffee by the lake and ended with a view of the sunset from the dock. I can't recommend Milam Camp more highly.

Great camp, beautiful setting!

  • 5 of 5

The Milam camp is actually better than advertised. The "pond" or lake as we say in the Midwest was super clean, fishing was outstanding, great weather in the summer. The location is very peaceful and quiet. The cabin is clean, very well equipped and a double kayak and john boat were very nice extras. We even got to see the blueberry harvest on the road in to the camp which was a neat bonus! Mid Coast Maine is a great experience and the Milan camp was perfect for our family with two young boys. We really enjoyed the campfires and swimming in the pond (suggest water shoes as it is rocky, we left some extras in the storage closet). We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and owner Greg is very good to deal with.

  • 5 of 5

Perfect place for four of us. Everything you need is there. internet was a plus, came in handy during rainy days at Mainem. There is also a laundry that you can use. I picked blueberry on the place for breakfast. Great small mouth fishing at the lake.

Beds were super comfortable. Great Maine vacation m
