Now available as a short term or monthly rental!

Beautiful Ocean views from the main living area, all bedrooms and the second and third floor decks. See the sunrise or a full moon over the ocean all from your pillow!! Fri to Fri rental so avoid traffic & enjoy a full weekend! Gorgeous views from all main rooms in the home. Direct beach access-no carrying umbrellas, chairs & drinks forever! Relax on the comfortable couch or love seat in front of the flat screen smart Roku TV available for your live streaming and Netflix/Amazon Prime/Hulu access (must use your own acct). Open floor plan - NEW kitchen includes quartz counters, new cabinets & seating at the kitchen bar and dining room table. Appliances include stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with icemaker and water on the door & a washer and dryer are also included (there is a 2nd refrigerator on the first floor too-ideal for kids drinks & beer!). Every bedroom has a sliding glass door so you can step right out onto a deck & hear/watch the waves crash. Relax on the deck in the covered shade or lay in the sun and get your tan on. Great ocean/beach views from both decks plus a bonus sunning deck. There is a full master bedroom on the second floor with a king sized bed & updated private bath - new, enlarged shower, double sinks and whirlpool tub plus a faux master on the third floor with king bed and full bath (also updated-shared with living area). Free Wi-Fi throughout. The home has wood floors throughout (only the stairs have carpet) & we have completed other updates-the home is ready for guests!

Watch for the pods of dolphin that run in the early morning and late afternoon. Fresh seafood can be purchased on a daily basis from the local fishermen who bring their hauls in and sell them at the market near Hardees, about a mile or so away. Walk for miles in either direction on the beach. You can walk to the pier and fish. Look for prehistoric sharks' teeth and shells. The sound is just a walk away and provides amazing sunset panoramas.

Additional Family or Friends?-Our daughter has a 4 bedroom townhome super close to us if you have a larger family to accommodate.

The towns of Jacksonville, Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington (international airport) are less than an hour away.

The only drawback to this house is that you'll never want to leave.

Owners do have exterior cameras for security, including a ring doorbell.

Please do not climb/play on dune/berm. Surf City spent a lot of money to rebuild & protect us for the future & violations are subject to $500 fine.

We have an Alexa on the kitchen counter, you are welcome to use it & you can also feel free to unplug it if you are not comfortable using it.

We have 2 security cameras at the home, one on the carport and one on the upstairs balcony facing the ocean. Grill MUST be used 10' from the home!

Nice location

Nice home and location. Not worth driving all day to have to order sheets and towels! No blankets available. Unclogged bathroom sink. Arrive and no toilet paper, soap for hands etc. no one wants to rush to store immediately upon arrival.

Family Vacation!

We had a great stay as a family. The location is prime and Wendy has been awesome and wonderful to work with. The house is great for families with kids. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful view, wonderful time with family

This property had an amazing view, just steps to the ocean. That makes a family trip with 3 kids so much easier in many ways. The owner was very responsive to any questions.

Great house

This house was perfect for our group of 9. The location couldn’t be better and everything was very clean and comfortable. The kids loved the bunk room and all the beach toys! The hosts were also very responsive and easy to communicate with. We had one minor issue with the air conditioning and they had it fixed within an hour of us reaching out. We’d definitely go back!

Long time North Carolinians, we love the beach and we love sharing our beach house with others! I had no idea going to the beach for even one day could relax and restore you! We love going down no matter the time of year-it's very peaceful and relaxing and if you want to stay busy there is plenty to do! You can walk to the pier and wave to your friends/family on the live webcam! You can rent bicycles, our home is a great place for bike riding as it's at the end of a dead end street (has a fantastic paved driveway, away from the street, for little kids to ride bikes on, sidewalk chalk or play in) & it's an easy ride to the downtown area with restaurants & shops. We love chartering boats and going fishing, renting paddle boards, swimming, eating at the great restaurants, getting fresh seafood & more!

Why they chose this property

It's hard to explain, but if you spend just a day or two in the house we know you will understand. It's ocean/beach front!! Somehow the relaxation just finds you. We will sometimes drive down for just a day and it helps restore you and makes returning to work much easier! Spend a week or two and life couldn't get any better!

What makes this property unique

Every room faces the ocean with plenty of windows for amazing ocean views and all major rooms offer walkouts right onto one of the two huge decks so you can listen to the waves, feel the breeze and watch for the dolphins that are often seen playing just offshore. There are restaurants, coffee shops, bars and stores within walking and biking distance.
