About Toni Mai

I am a Pediatric Nurse Manager with two amazing children. I purchased this property when I was pregnant with my first child. I wanted a home that allowed my children freedom to run, play, ride bikes, swim and enjoy the great outdoors. As my children have grown into young adults, and are not home quite as often, I wanted to be be able to share this beautiful piece of paradise. So... with that being said, I began my project of renovating the other home on my property into a vacation rental. I opened the vacation rental in the fall of 2014, and it has been an amazing adventure. Customer service is extremely important to me, as you can imagine, in my work as a Pediatric Nurse Manager. I tried to think of everything my guests could possibly need, while developing this house into a vacation home for my guests. It has continued to be my project, as I am continuously planting more flowers, unique trees, adding additional amenities etc. I just can't seem to stop and I am loving every minute of it. My very favorite, has been getting to meet so many of my wonderful guests, and making this home a place my guests can forget about all of their day to day hassles, and just relax and get to enjoy life and family.

Toni Mai purchased this chateau / country house in 1992

Why Toni Mai chose Flintstone

I purchased this property because it provides the best of both worlds. The property includes the home that we are showing, as well as the home that we live in. The homes are located on 20 acres of property, isolated from everyone yet close to EVERYTHING!

What makes this chateau / country house unique

This home and property is so peaceful and quiet, tucked back into its own little peace of paradise. Such a relief to come home after a long day and just sit in the back yard and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lookout Mountain while listening to the sounds of the great outdoors.

Cant't wait to go back

  • 5 of 5

We were 2 couples visiting for a weekend. The Chattanooga Valley Escape was perfect. It was close enough to town and the main attractions to go back and forth but it felt like we were miles away from everything. We would have enjoyed the outdoor area a little more had it not been so hot. 90+ degrees outside is not ideal for a hot tub or a fire. I could see if you were staying for a week and eating most meals in, a dishwasher would be helpful but for a quick weekend and we only ate in a few meals, it was no big deal. We loved the movie room. Toni left instructions and when we had a question she was very quick and helpful in responding. We have already recommended this house to several people and are planning a return trip hopefully this fall.

Whimsical Wonder in the Wilderness

  • 5 of 5

My family of four, two toddlers and two adults, really loved this adorable house in the valley. There is a feeling of seclusion, with nothing to see but mountains, trees, and fields of flowers, but its really a short drive to Chattanooga and many attractions. The house was bigger than it appears in the pictures, with plenty of room to spread out, in rooms that have been carefully decorated in a fun, comfortable style. I told my husband we need to invest in making our beds as luxurious as those in the cottage-heavenly. What else? Awesome backyard, although it was too hot (97 degrees outside) to enjoy the firepit and hot tub but I would have loved to in cooler temps. We met the owners as well and they were very kind and accommodating. We live in Charleston,SC but if we return to the area, we will certainly stay here again!

Great property and close to town!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great stay at this property and it was just as described. It was close to town and had a quaint country feel with plenty of space. The backyard was great as was the movie room. Beds were super comfortable and the place was very clean. My only 2 very small complaints would be: 1. their was no coffee or coffee pods. There was keurig but no pods which could have easily just been a mistake on refilling them. 2. The hot tub never really got hot, or least we didn't possibly wait long enough for it to. We turned it up as much as we could but it just never seemed to get hot.

Overall, very much enjoyed this place and highly recommend anyone staying here!!

Unique, clean, quiet location; perfect for a couple or small family.

Reviews and photos are accurate. Home layout and nice extra features allow for gathering space and alone space; outside patio area is lovely and private. Would recommend anyone visiting the area to consider this home!

Cute little cottage

  • 4 of 5

It's only 10 minutes to downtown Chattanooga, everything you could want! Paris theme decor, charcoal & gas grill, beautiful fireplace, the movie theater room was great for our rainy day and the popcorn, marshmallows and pillow was a wonderful touch! The owners live next door and are very nice and keep to themselves unless you need them.

Mills River, NC

Extremely warm and inviting 1920 style home with all the upgrades a person could want.

  • 5 of 5

Three of us spend a wonderful three days at this beautiful home. It is just like the photos. The owner of the property is extremely accommodating. The house was probably built on the 20's yes the floors make noise and yes there are a few quirks of an older house. We feel part of the charm. The house is amazingly clean ,and totally updated.the back yard is the place to be.we decided to come back.and hang out by fire and hot tub instead of in the city. Let's not forget about the owner she is very much makes this place all fives . Last but not least you are still just a short drive to don't hesitate rent this place...
