A Beach retreat in Penticton
Our stay at the Sunny Penticton Retreat was amazing. Right when you walk in, it was spectacular. The pictures does not do it justice. It was cozy yet the decor was modern and chic and had a very beachy vibe. Small added touch such as complimentary wine and coffee/tea made it very welcoming. The beds are very comforatable and the pillow made it feel like you were sleeping on cloud.
Check in process was extremely easy, as the Sean had provided clear cut instructions prior to arrival. Likewise, checking out was so simple, as there were detailed nots in the welcoming booklet.
Location wise, it could not have been better. Centrally located in the heart of Penticton, everything was walking distance. We were lucky enough where we stayed during a Saturday, when the town had a big farmers market located on Main St. It was literally a two minute walk from the retreat.
Overall, we had an amazing stay at the suite and would definitely stay here again when we come back!
We’ll be back!
The kids and I loved this place so much that we’ve stayed here twice. My two older kids attended Hockey Camp (a 5 minute drive to the rink). The youngest and I spent the days walking to the beach or biking the trails through the vineyards. The kitchen had all the gadgets I needed to prepare our dinners. The beds were comfortable. We will be back again next year. Thanks Sean!
My husband and I travelled with our three grandchildren aged 5-10 years. It was a perfect stay for us. Accomadation was very clean and had everything that we needed! We were met by Sean upon our arrival and we were welcomed into our apartment! We would stay here again and would definitely recommend this property. Thanks to Penticton for a wonderful stay!
Great place in a great location!
This was a great place to stay and was located close to everything. We had a great stay!
Close to everything
We had kids going to the Okanagan Hockey Camp for the week and this house was a simple almost straight drive to the rink. It was so easy and convenient for us being able to walk to the beach, park, food and window shopping. Being a family of 4 having the separate spaces this condo provided was great so kids could sleep and adult could stay up. It is very cozy, nicely decorated and had what we needed for the week. All the beds were comfortable. Instead of having a tv stand its a dresser and I think it was genius, as we used that space so we didnt have to live out of suitcases. The outdoor spaces were great for relaxing. The only draw back was the air conditioner unit in the master was so loud made all kinds of strange noises and sounded like it was going to take off that we had to have it off to get sleep but then got hot so we still couldn't sleep. I am sure the AC can be addressed and I wouldn't let that hold me back as we would stay here again for sure.
Thanks so much for the review and I'll take care of the A/C unit. Hope you stay again.
Adequate space for 4 (original plans for 4 adults and 2 young kids would have been tight 4 twoweeks
Prior reviews are adequate of this 2 bedroom unit. It is close to everything, especially if you spend time in town or at Okanagan Lake beach. For us it fell short on a few expectations as a family vacation home we anticipated. The owner provided some basic kitchen items, oil, vinegar, salt pepper, ketchup and mustard. The kitchen lacked enough towels and cutlery for 4 people and we would have had to ask for more if the original 6 came up over our 2 week holiday. The A/C units were loud, there's a funny smell in the entire building, and some of the original towels were soiled as were some of the dishes in the cupboards. There is no housekeeping, so if you need anything you must contact the owner who was away from the city during most of our stay. The dishwasher did not work, you must pay for your laundry and drying, although soaps are provided. Also there is nowhere where you can hang you beach towels to dry. Our unit, was away from the main street however it backs onto a very nice public walkway next to the creek that is very well used, unfortunately at all hours of the day and night. We were woken up in the middle of the night by the sounds of someone breaking the fence just outside our bedroom window. Parking was somewhat of an issue with only 3 spots available on the property. For most of the time we parked on the road, where luckily enforcement of the 2 hour rule is lax. I would recommend a unit in this fourplex for only a stopover/short stay.
