2 Bedrooms (each With Private Bath), Open Loft, Magnificent Lake View

You will love this 2014 newly constructed custom built home! We are located less than one mile from US highway 68/80...on a dead end street...making it a very quiet and relaxing location!

As you can see in the pictures, this home features two bedrooms both with private baths. One bedroom has a queen sized bed while the other bedroom has a full bed. The upstairs loft will sleep 3 with a full and twin sized bed. The kitchen has brand new stainless steel appliances and is stocked with the basic necessitates to make your stay as relaxing as possible. There is a screened in back porch for your bug-free enjoyment. We will soon be constructing another deck for additional seating, grilling and much more.(deck completed 2016) My wife and I live at the end of the street and you are always welcome to stroll down 3 houses and use our entire peninsula lot! This cottage is not allowed a dock on the main channel but you are welcome to use our dock, its just a 3 min walk down to our lot. There is Dish Network programming on a 55'' LED Samsung TV. Also, free Wifi for your convenience. On a chilly day, you can snuggle up on the leather couch and enjoy the gas log fireplace. Included in your stay is a 6 person pass to The Fitness Center at Lake Barkley State Park. The Fitness Center features; indoor pool, sauna, steam room, racquetball, free weights, Nautilus machines, outdoor basketball, outdoor tennis, daily aerobic classes, and much much more.

This house will be most comfortable with 5 or less people. 8 guests is our maximum.

All I need to to reserve your stay today is the damage deposit. The damage deposit is $300.00 is fully refundable and can be paid online through VRBO, by credit card over the phone, or you can send a check in the mail.

The balance must be paid in full NO LATER than 2 weeks before you arrive. I do understand you get busy and sometimes forget... no problem but if you choose to pay when you arrive you must let me know in advance and it must be in the form of cash or credit card. At the time you arrive, a check will not be accepted!!

Preferred payment method is by echeck online OR cash when you arrive.

No more than 2 pets are allowed. There is a $50 fee for each pet.

 There is room for 2-3 cars in the driveway. There is plenty of room for over flow parking, just let me know and I’ll show you where it is.

 ALL your linens are provided. I always recommend bringing your pillow for your comfort.

 The kitchen has basic pots and pans and utensils for your general cooking needs. We recommend bringing your own cooking spices and any type of storage for your food you might need.

 There is a full size fridge and freezer in the kitchen.

 The neighborhood is located on a dead end street and is usually very quiet.

 Our neighbors’ kids play in the street so please drive with caution.

 The grill is propane and the propane is provided. Bring a lighter as ours tend to walk off.

 The outdoor grill is not cleaned by the cleaning staff, please clean up after yourself. Also, please excuse the last guest for not listening to the first part of this statement.

 The steps on the deck will lead you all the way to the shoreline.

 The water is gently sloping and you can swim from the shore.

 The bottom of the lake is rocky and semi-muddy. I recommend wearing lake shoes.

 Yes, you can fish from the shoreline. KY fish and game laws apply.

 You can use any of the docks on the bayside at the end of the street.

 Everyone is welcome to come to the end of the street and use my lot on the point. I do ask that you respect our privacy.

• I have 3 yellow Labradors (dogs) that stay on my lot. NONE of the 3 are allowed to leave the property. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not take them on the boat with you without letting me know. If you tell them NO and mean it they will listen to you.

• We have 2 pontoon boats and 2 jet skis available for rent. The all are shared between all of our rental houses and I do recommend you reserve in advance. They rent for $200.00 daily and include the first tank of gas. I always ask that you pay for the boats in cash once you arrive. The boats are always docked at our COVERED dock. Once I have given you safety instructions you are allowed to use the boat from sunrise to sunset. NO night use. If you are out after dark I will assume you are missing and emergence personnel will be notified.

• No penalty for boat rain outs. If you reserve we do ask that you plan on using the boat or it will be deducted from your deposit. No half day rentals. (seasonal april-september)

 I always recommend you bring your food with you. Our grocery stores are no comparison to the stores most are used to in the city.

I am (almost) always available by phone or email. Our cell service isn’t always the best so please leave a voicemail if I do not answer.

All holidays require 3 day minimum stay.

The is a very cute little couples getaway spot. Everything in the house is brand new and well built. Our location is one of our biggest assets being that it is only one turn off the main highway. You don't have to worry about making 19 turns and searching for an hour to find this rental. And, when you get ready to venture out and explore the area, you are only seconds from Highway 68/80.

Can't Wait to Go Back

Our whole family had a great time, including the dog. The location was very relaxing, and we spent most of our time on the lake. Lucas, the owner was a great host, and very accommodating. He was very knowledgeable of the local area. We brought our kayaks and SUP and also rented his wave runners.

Great place to stay for our Lake Barkley Vacation!!!!

House is very clean & well maintained. Everything we needed for our 7 day lake stay. Extremely close to Devil's Elbow boat launch for easy in and out for our boat. Access to Lucas's dock was a huge plus too. Short walk to come back for an afternoon snack and/or nap. It was nice having access to the Owner's huge lot for shore fishing and swimming. Small, quiet neighborhood. Beautiful lake views and sunsets views from living room, master bedroom, screened porch and deck. We will be back!!

Great Place to Stay

Cottage was great, clean, roomy and well kept. We loved the screened in porch. Having the convenience of boat rental right down the street was a huge plus and the kids enjoyed the time on the water. Lucas was quick to respond to any questions or requests. The kids went horseback riding at Wranglers Camp, we saw the Laser show at the Golden Pond Planetarium. Visited the Woodlands Nature and had dinner at Patti's Settlement. All in all a good vacation.

Very nice property and owner.

This place was very clean and quiet and the owner was great to work with. We were two couples and we each had our own bedroom and bathroom which was great. There was an ice maker in the refrigerator which was also great. Possible improvements include: basic spices: salt/pepper, a few more pans for cooking, end tables in living room and night tables in one of the bedrooms. The second bedroom had a double bed vs. queen bed. Screen door on deck did not close/latch and the dead bolt on the door to the deck also didn't latch. None of these things are huge and the lack of them didn't take away the fact it is a very nice place with very accommodating owner.

Amenities, including accommodations are all posted on our rental sites through pictures and descriptions in detail.
