This “Victorian-Modern” (1892 on the outside 2012 on the inside) flat is exceptionally clean and comfortable. It is a ground floor apartment and a larger and more elegant version of 473 Clarence, which is the upstairs apartment featured in Ad 457131. Like the upstairs suite, this apartment features three, well-spaced bedrooms with brand new queen beds and linens.

If both apartments are available, together they can accommodate up to 12 people.

There are two full bathrooms - one with a 6 ft tub and the other with a custom glass shower enclosure.

The brand-new, eat-in kitchen is well stocked with enough dishes, glassware, serve ware, pots and pans to feast with friends and/or family.

There is a gas range, a dishwasher and an automatic espresso machine.

The living room has a new flat screen television, cable and a functioning gas fireplace. The apartment has wi-fi.

There is a formal dining room with a large glass table and seating for 8

There is a nice place to sit and watch the world go by on the front porch. There is also a large, private, covered porch out the back door off the kitchen. The rear porch is well-lit and furnished with a table and comfortable seating.

475 Clarence is comfortable in both winter and summer. It also has its own furnace, central air conditioner and thermostat. Every bedroom has a ceiling fan.

There are only two steps up to the front door to 475 Clarence and so this apartment may be suitable for people with mobility issues.

Parliament Hill, the Central Business District, the University of Ottawa, the historic Byward Market, the National Gallery, DFAIT, DND HQ, Rideau Falls, Rideau Hall and other destinations can easily be reached in less than 30 minutes on foot in any weather.

Transit is also available: major transit routes serving Ottawa and with connections to Gatineau are located on the next corner at Cobourg St. The property has excellent access to the Macdonald-Cartier Intraprovincial Bridge to Gatineau, Highways 5 North and 50 East.

Neighborhood amenities (within 15 minute walk) include 2 indoor pools (one is a 2 minute walk), a public, outdoor NHL-sized skating rink, the Rideau River path system for running/walking, two major grocery stores, specialty shops and restaurants in the Byward Market and New Edinburgh, an independent movie theatre, and more.

Great family apartment

We had a great stay! Centrally located with everything you need for a stay with or without children. Really clear information about the house provided, easy communication and lovely extras like snacks and fresh food left for us and some books and toys for our youngest who is 2.5. Everything was clean as a whistle and seemed very new. The owner was real pleasure to deal with as well.

A Perfect Stay!

We stayed at this wonderful home for three nights over the New Year.

It is exactly as displayed in the given photos… modern, clean, spacious. The pleasant décor, the wonderful attention to detail, all the special touches truly made our little family reunion so amazing!

Upon our arrival, we discovered that food had been left for us, enough for a couple of light meals (frozen pizzas, pasta sauce and noodles) and a few breakfasts (eggs, juice, milk, bread, fruit, coffee beans)!! Even a Christmas tree was all lit up and a few decorations were out – what a welcome!

Its location is wonderful, near a park and only a 15 minute walk away from the Parliament Buildings.

It was the perfect, warm venue, allowing us to bring in 2017 all together!

I very highly recommend it.

Amazing property

Our family rented this property for 3 nights and it was really fantastic. The home is immaculate and we had everything we needed. Allison was super amazing with keeping the snow and ice cleared. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms very clean and stocked with supplies. To top it off Allison provided breakfast for the morning.

Not only do we recommend the property, the family is booking for another weekend in the summer. We can't say enough about our stay!

Ottawa Family Christmas

Allison was welcoming and helpful. The place was clean and in very good condition. She set the place up with more than basic supplies for cooking etc. The location was quite good and many sites/museums/grocery stores were walkable. The only concerns we had were the stove didn't seem to start/heat up as expected and the fancy coffee machine produced poor coffee. Both points might have something to do with our lack of familiarity with the equipment. We would certainly recommend Allison's accommodations to others.

Owner's Response: I was sorry to hear that this group had trouble with the oven and coffee maker. Since I only learned about these issues on their departure, I was unable to sort things out for them. I live next door to this property and always encourage guests to contact me immediately if they have problems. There are now clearer instructions for using the oven. Good coffee is really a matter of taste. Lots of people love the dark roast beans and espresso machine I provide and tell me so. Some people prefer a lighter roast and a drip machine. Well, there is now a drip machine AS WELL AS the espresso maker in this apartment. Hopefully everybody will be able to enjoy their favourite brew now!

This was our second stay at Allison's house & it was perfect. We were 2 couples sharing the house. It is spacious, comfortable & well maintained & has everything you could possibly need. We hosted a dinner party for 8 people as if it was our own home.

Clean and well appointed property

Clean quiet property, within walking distance of all major tourist attractions. Really appreciated the food in the fridge and all of the kitchen and bathroom amenities. Comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Allison.
