Why they chose this property
Having traveled the Wisconsin and Mississippi river basins many times, we have always liked the feel of this area. This property provides our family with a unique country getaway. Many memories have been made here. We are secluded in a natural setting with easy travel to unique small towns.
What makes this property unique
Through our love of Nature, Landscape Architecture, Design and Sustainability we created “The Carriage House”. We used reclaimed wood from a late 1800’s barn and reclaimed wood floors from homes built in the states capital. This creates a warm and visually relaxing atmosphere. Relaxing in the window seat has been one of our favorite past times. Also, gazing at the stars through the skylights at night has been a traveler favorite.
Outside, the topography of the area is considered the “Driftless area of
Wisconsin”. This unique landscape features many ridges and valleys that is perfect for wildlife habitat, hiking, boating, fishing, biking etc… our property has a perfect blend of trails and wooded areas. The closeness to the Wisconsin River and the Mississippi River junction has made venturing off the property equally rewarding.
