After my retirement as a TV-director and a documentary-maker for Dutch television I am happy to welcome travellers in our quiet guest house BB10 Amsterdam, to offer lodgings and to provide all kinds of information on where to dine, drink or club, on what to see and to visit, and, in general or very specific, on the rich history of Amsterdam or its surprising surroundings. As I have travelled the world professionally for many years, I know exactly what is needed and appreciated by weary travelers in a strange city. Comfort.
Theo & my wife Beanke
Theo purchased this guest house in 1980

Theo was very warm and welcoming by email. unfortunately if was on holidays when we came in but his neighbour Joke was very helpful checking in. We had the whole ground floor for us with all amenities you can require, very pleasant decoration, amazing quantity of books and a lovely garden. The road is quiet, 15' walk to major places but far enough from touristic areas. We look forward to coming back and meet Theo in person, we highly recommend this place to enjoy Amsterdam
My sister and I stayed here for 6 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is incredibly convenient and well appointed. Theo is very thoughtful host in the way he has made things available for his guests, from robes/slippers for the bathroom, to small plastic bags with ties if you want to take a snack with you on the road. The room and shared living area are very comfortable and attractive. Customer service was great. I forgot items in the room and Theo kindly mailed them back to me very speedily. I highly recommend the accommodation and would stay there again.
This VRBO is a gem. We stayed for 3 nights, and loved that it was in a quiet residential street, away from the busy hotel/tourist area. Big comfortable bed, nice bathtub, and a lovely garden where we could sit with a cup of tea in the evening. The host was very helpful, booking us a taxi for the airport on our last day, as we had to leave before the metro was running. Metro is around the corner, as well as a supermarket to pick up some yogurt and fruit for the morning. Absolutely gorgeous place to stay, from the wooden floors to the greenery. Robes, shampoo etc. was provided, as well as a trove of travel books to peruse and read at night.
Stayed for 6 days at Theo's apartment. Not only do you feel like you are in a neighborhood, you are a block away from the Amstel and the Metro. As said before Theo is very helpful and his apartment felt like home. We had our morning coffee in his delightful garden and after the bustle of Amsterdam is was very nice to return to each night. You cannot go wrong with this place and I highly recommend it.
Theo is a great host! Very welcoming! Clean, quiet place to stay. There were books, menus, map, a book of how to get the most out of your stay. He walked us through the common areas and our room explaining everything. He made us coffee when we came in. Wine, soda were available. Stroopwafels were provided to have with morning coffee. Little notes and signs everywhere . Beautiful garden out back to enjoy if you have leisure time. Not far from the Metro. Definitely will be the first place I will look for accommodations the next time I am in Amsterdam.
Very nice accomodation. The house is in a quiet area, with the Amstel river 1 min away and the subway station 3 min away. Hosts are more than helpful (giving you tips and tricks not only for Amsterdam, but also for Holland if you want to visit like we did). The room is spacious, also with a radio (during our stay it was setted on a nice fm station with jazz music and I loved this). The living room was also at our disposal together with the beautiful garden. We want to thank again to Mr Theo and his wife for their hospitality and don't forget: let me know if you come back to Romania! Best wishes, Georgiana Vlad
