TERRIBLE to say the least

  • 1 of 5

The owner does display in pictures that there are NO curtains for the vast majority windows, the only exception the bedroom on the main floor. But there not curtains for the bathroom with shower in the first floor. So if you walking in the living room, bathroom, kitchen on the main floor any one can see you especially at night. There are no curtains for the second floor at all. My guest and myself immediately left for it was NOT appropriate accommodation! Our extensive efforts to get any enumeration (refund) was NEVER responded to by the owner. I would NOT every stay there. Renter be WARY!

Owner's Response: We are sorry that our property did not meet your expectations, and would like the opportunity to address your concerns. We reached out several times via VRBO ahead of, during, and after your stay to provide our welcome guide, ask about your check in, and post stay and never received a response. Thus we were surprised to see this review 5 months after your reservation. We also provide our phone numbers at the house so that guests can contact us with any questions or problems. We never received a call from you during your stay. The house does not have curtains in the master bathroom as it is located on 13 acres and backs to the woods. The shower mentioned is a walk-in with no windows. Most of our guests enjoy the forest and valley views, so we do not obstruct them with extra curtains. There are blinds for privacy in the master bedroom. In addition, there is a walk-in shower upstairs in a bathroom that has no windows. Finally, we provide pictures of the entire property that are accurate.

Beautiful house, feels brand new, super clean, well stocked with amazing views!

  • 5 of 5

We will go back! The property was pristine, the beds were comfy, the outside dining and rockers were just what we were looking for. The house has walls of windows that are spectacular. We had brought everything down to toilet paper and salt because the reviews said the grocery was so far but the house is stocked with all of those extras. The kitchen is great, the sofa and family room are comfy, the huge TV even has Netflix etc. The Stone Mountain Vineyard is 3 miles down the mountain with a vista all its own and live music. This was an unexpected bene. To reiterate previous reviews.....4 wheel drive!!!! A really special away!!!

a true mountain top experience!

  • 5 of 5

The winding gravel road to the top is sometimes rough and a bit narrow, but that road guarantees great privacy and pristine beauty once you get to the mountain top. (Really~the geological survey marker (3301 ft) is in the back yard!) We loved our week there. The house is just as described, filled with light from so many windows you are literally surrounded with natural beauty. Deer will wander (sometimes cavort) through the yard and dawn and at dusk, the sunrise and sunset will both transfix you, and though my weather app gave no chance for star-gazing, on several nights I sat in a rocker under more stars than I've seen in ages. We used the kitchen for virtually every meal (shop wisely so you don't have to go again) and everything was in good working condition and of good quality. The owners make you feel quite welcome, having things like coffee and tea, flour and sugar, spices and condiments etc etc on hand just for your enjoyment. The front porch and the back patio are both charming. At night the frog symphony was gorgeous and never-ending. Truly, as someone else wrote, staying here will give you an attitude adjustment. So...if you want excitement and nightlife, go somewhere else. But if you want peace, beauty and renewal, this is a wonderful place!

Gorgeous home with amazing views! Extremely relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

Our first time staying in a mountaintop home and so glad we chose this house. The views were spectacular, both day and night! It had everything we needed and more. If we wondered if they had something, all we had to do is look in the spot we thought it would be and there it was! We loved the layout inside and the front porch was perfect. The beds were very comfortable too. It was too short of a visit and hard to say good-bye! Thank you for sharing this home!
