About this property

Our house has a large garden overlooking an olivegrove and the mountains. It has a large terrace and private garden with furniture . On the bottom floor there is a terrace at the front and a Livingroom with TV and DVD. a bathroom with shower, bidet and wc and washing basin. The kitchen has all that you need including Frige freezer oven washing machine and all elec. appl.

Once you have gone over the marble stairs you wil find an other complete bathroom and 2 bedrooms with a balcony each.
One with a double bed and one with 2 singles.
There is an extra folding bed for a fifth guest All rooms have airco and heating.
There are 24 houses in this complex and 2 pools in the communal garden. Plenty of parking. They are all holiday homes, and there are between 5 and 10 houses occupied at the same time
The beach is only 5 min.walk and the sea is deep blue .The beaches are not overcrowded, and very clean. The village is 7 min.walk and there are a few shops and a restaurant and a village square were the locals meet up.Soverato is a busy town 15 minutes drive away with nightlife and supermarkets.Yes Even Mc Donnalds.
But this is just if you do not like Italian food witch is not likely.
Calabria is famous for its variety off spices and flavours.

Nice holiday home

Nice holiday home, but unfortunately was not clean. It seems that it hasn't been cleaned for a while. Dust in all corners, also the cleanliness of the toilets/bathroom leaves a lot to be desired.

We are a Dutch/British couple/family who live in Scotland, an bought a holiday home in this beautiful and authentic part of Italy where life is still slow and not expensive.
Our 3 children are now adults and still like to come over to Isca for a relaxed holiday.
Due to my work We can Only take holidays in the spring and early summer, and there fore we can rent out our house to other families in the high season.
I grew up in The Hague Holland and my wife in Scotland , but we all ways both loved Italy and his rich food culture and the relaxed attitude and certainly the weather.

Why they chose this property

The quiet beaches and 2 private pools to our small complex and the fantastic food and hospitality made us choose this complex in Isca Calabria.
Most owners are British families in the age group 45 to older.
Only 5 or 6 are rented out to other families in the summer.
This part of Calabria (east) was developed later than the west and has still more authenticity about it .

What makes this property unique

All 24 houses have a private garden ( see pictures ) and there is a communal garden around the 2 pools.
There is a front gate that opens electrically and a back gate with a key for a 5 minute walk to the beach.
The beach is very long and quiet, but a few hundred yards to the north are a few beach clubs.
Soverato is a buzzing town only 10 minutes away.
Between Isca and Soverato are many restaurants to choose from if you want to sample the Italian kitchen, but the markets and street vendors could well pursued you to buy fresh local
products and cook yourself in our complete kitchen.
The are never more than 8 families in Isca dreams at the same time, so the pools are almost private.
Owners regularly have a organised beach camp fire or meal/BBQ together, or just a quit drink in the garden.
This is only possible with a small resort like this.
