We absolutely loved this charming cottage, so much so that we have could imagine renting it for a long-term place to escape. While we wished the bed was larger, and that we didn't have to walk through the first bedroom to get to the second, neither of these things dampened our enthusiasm for the place. The hosts couldn't be nicer, providing delicious muffins for our first morning there, as well as advice. Perfectly located in between Frenchtown and Milford, it was a short hop to either for anything we needed. Both the bathroom and kitchen were well stocked. The Delaware River is across the street, and the towpath behind the house made for a lovely stroll with our dog. The gardens were spectacular around the property. Quiet, clean, convenient - you just can't go wrong here. We can't wait to return!
Thanks so much for your kind words. Hope to see you again some day. Linnea and Kevin
What can I say? This is a place we hope to return to every year for many years to come!
We've been coming to The Barn Cottage for several years now. Sometimes we invite close friends or our son and his very special girlfriend. This time, we decided not to invite anyone, to enjoy the house, property, and the Delaware River region together, on our own, without having to accommodate our favorite guests, as much as we love to do that.
It was magical. Linnea and Kevin are the dearest of hosts. We know that they take pride in the natural beauty and cultivated nature of their property. The Barn is skillfully equipped and thoughtfully decorated, with both comfort and aesthetics in mind.
Needless to say, we'll be coming back, in all seasons.

Ellen and Tony, You two are the best! We love having you come. It’s always fun to talk to you. Thanks for helping to make our hosting so much fun. Linnea and Kevin
Beautiful spot on the Delaware, so peaceful.
My daughter and I enjoyed the barn getaway in Upper Black Eddy for a Labor day weekend. It's great for families, very cosy and has everything you need. The adjoining bedrooms makes it better for a family unit than a friends or couple getaway.
We had a fantastic stay at the barn, which is furnished with antiques and comfortable furniture. Linnea and Kevin were warm, friendly hosts who made us welcome and were always willing to share local news and offer recommendations for eating and entertainment.
The property is set between the Delaware River and the canal, great walks for us and our dog.
Highly recommended for a peaceful, charming break.
This was a perfect little getaway! The “barn” was so clean and lovingly taken care of! It has a ton of charm! The flowers on the property make it seem as if you were in a park. The location is perfect. We would definitely stay here again!
Thanks for your kind review. Sorry we were not there to personally greet you but I hope Kasara was able to answer any concerns and questions. Hopefully we will get to meet you the next time. Linnea
First impression upon turning into property is the beautifully flowered landscaping.
The barn cottage is charming, inviting and beautifully appointed with antiques, yet totally modern kitchen and bath. We were delited to find gourmet coffee and freshly baked muffins awaiting our arrival. The property owner’s, Kevin and Linnea, are affable and welcoming to their guests and their four legged visitors.
Great area for antiquing and restaurants. Beautiful countryside. Relaxing.
