Great off-the-grid, private cottage

  • 5 of 5

There are not enough great things to say about this cozy little cottage within walking/biking distance to Frenchtown. First things first: this place is gloriously CLEAN and QUIET. Her decor is very antique-chic and gives off a lovely, homey, welcoming feeling. On our four-day trip we managed to:

-bike to Frenchtown for lunch (Bridge st. Cafe was amazing!) The bike trip is flat, only a few miles and there is access to the towpath right from the backyard

-go on a nature walk along the towpath with my extremely aquatic Labrador retriever. Our hosts must know a thing or two about dogs since they left us a towel. We saw about 25 turtles, some turkeys (we think?), deer, geese with little babies and quite a number of horses walking the towpath

-have a glass of wine on the deck overlooking the river

-let my dog play with Linnea and Kevin’s funny little dog, Ted

-get massages at Euphoria Studio (also in Frenchtown and excellent)

-stay in and cook dinner. The house is stocked like an apartment, making it convenient and fun to cook. Our gracious hosts even left us fresh coffee, creamer and muffins for the morning

-go out for dinner. The Ship Inn in Milford had a great BLT and burger

We can’t wait to make it back! Thanks for everything.

Jenna, Louie and Frank

Great cozy cottage

  • 5 of 5

This was a lovely place for a long weekend stay. Owner's were easy to deal with and very welcoming. Cozy converted barn was a perfect place for us. Beds were super comfy. Nice bed linens and towels. Kitchen was well stocked with essentials. Home was super clean which is a huge must for me. Little touches like fresh muffins and cream for coffee was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Cute! We loved it!

  • 4 of 5

Thanks again for the cute little barn cottage! We really enjoyed our stay! Our children blessed us with this time away from our busy lives to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary. Enjoyed a beautiful morning walk to the "Homestead" for a wonderful breakfast. The Homestead coffee was excellent! Thanks again! Mark & Steph Patches

Darling, Cozy, comfortably appointed in a bucolic setting on the river bank of the Delaware.

Our Host and Hostess were welcoming and charming and a couple we wished we had more time in the weekend to invite in for a drink and visit!

The natural beauty of Bucks County in the fall is not to be missed and The Renovated 1920's Barn Cottage was the perfect quiet spot to be situated with access to all the sights we had hoped to explore.

We arrived late and were so delighted to find a coffee, cream and a muffin start ready for our morning adventure departure.

Fantasic. We are most likely to visit again, soon!

Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My 2 sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the barn cottage. The cottage and area was perfect for a girls weekend of antiques shopping and relaxing. Linnea and Kevin went above and beyond in making sure everything was provided and the place was really clean. We are already planning a return trip in the spring !

Cute cottage get-away

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in the barn cottage with our teenage daughters for two nights in early November. The barn cottage was very clean, comfortable and well-appointed for all of our needs and more -- with a kitchen stocked with condiments, cooking oils and other shareable items, we easily could have planned to cook many more meals than we did. The proximity to the Delaware River and canal tow-path made it a lovely semi-rural location with easy access to restaurants across the river in Frenchtown, NJ. (If you plan to go to the Bamboo House on a Saturday night, be sure to make reservations -- it was packed!) In contrast, the waterfall at Ringing Rocks Park was surprisingly uncrowded and was the perfect place to spend a mild fall afternoon. Thank you, Linnea, for the recommendation and for your hospitality!
