About William Harty
One of our other passions is music. I was involved with the Guardsmen Drum and Bugle Corps for 26 years, as a marching member for 10 years and 16 as a choreographer and director. My whole family was involved in one way or another. My sister Celeste and Paul were members while sisters Claudia and Regina, followed and helped with management. My father was very active as director and my mother sewed flags and followed us every where. My son has followed in music and was a member of the Green Thunder Percussion Ensemble and has been taking piano lessons for 15 years. I am currently president of Ray's Hvac, a heating and air conditioning company that my father Ray started in 1956. My mother and brother Paul work for the company as well. My son and I have 3 dogs: Minnie Pearl, a Jack Russell/Pomeranian, Magnolia, a Fox Terrier, and Mr. Conrad, a Border Collie. Both Minnie Pearl and Mr. Conrad were rescued from visits to Ireland. We are involved along with my sister Claudia with Young at Hearts, a senior pet rescue and adoption organization. My son also volunteers at the Animal Care League of Oak Park. My son and I are parishioners at St. John the Baptist in Winfield, and I am also a member of the Human Rights Campaign. - William Harty, About Us William Harty, owner Being from Chicago, I always had a vision of owning a grand 4 flat in Rogers Park, Residence on the Avenue. The architecture was very different from other areas in the city. As a young man, and even now, I love the drive north from the city up Lake Shore Drive and continuing on to the historic Sheridan Road. The building was purchased in 2003, and in 2006 we did a major rehab. After doing full time rentals, we decided to do vacation rentals in two of the condos. We felt some thing this great should be shared. I am president of our family owned heating and air conditioning company in Schaumburg Il. It is Ray's HVAC and 61 years in business. What makes this Condo unique
This condo because it is on the top floor is amazing on a sunny day. The grand open floor plan is great for gatherings. Even if you are working away in this great kitchen you can enjoy the rest of you family or friends at the granite breakfast bar. The master bath is also a great feature of this condo with the whirlpool and separate shower.

Spacious, beautiful Chicago rental
We decided to spend Thanksgiving in Chicago with our daughter who was at school at the U of I. This place fit our needs to a T. While it requires a 3 floor hike, it's definitely worth it. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. We were met by Ross who lives in the building who showed us the garage parking as well as giving us a tour of the apartment. We found everything easy to access and to use. I do understand why reviews differ on the contents of the kitchen. For regular cooking, it has what is needed but less so on Thanksgiving. We added a few things from the nearby dollar store but measuring cups and spoons would be a welcome addition. Overall, I highly recommend this stay and we would certainly stay again if our paths take us back to Chicago.
Jarvis Avenue
We visited Chicago as a family of six and were very comfortable at the property. The rooms were nicely decorated and welcoming. We were a short walk from a beautiful playground that we visited most days. A short drive and we were at a beach (with a playground).
We were unfortunate to have the air conditioning go out but the manager and owner were so quick to handle the problem that it didn’t effect our stay. In fact, we were amazed by the quick resolution.
Jarvis Avenue is a beautiful, quiet place to stay. We enjoyed it thoroughly!
Thank you!
Great rental
This is a clean spacious property. We had 8 in our party and we had plenty of room. We used public transportation and Uber’s to get around the city. The property manager is on site and he is wonderful. I will rent this again next time I visit Chicago!!
Exceptional condo
We loved our stay here. it was spacious, clean, great location. Perfect for our Loyola graduation festivities!

The place was nice. The parking was a problem. There were repairs that need to be completed. The staff was accommodating.
We always address issues ASAP. There was a minor repair which of course has been sorted out. In regards to the parking the off street parking was not the issue. The guests had 3 cars so 2 had to find street parking. The good thing is that passes are not required. Depending on the time of day it can be hard to find a really close spot. Our property manager also can give helpful suggestions if need be. We look forward to having you as our guests.

Spacious and special space but in need of additional amenities
Our overall experience was good. The apartment is lovely and is close to some good areas to eat, but not as close to Evanston as we had hoped. It was great having a parking space in a garage, especially during the cold weather. However, for those who cannot climb stairs, the apartment is on the fourth floor so it was quite a climb. The back steps from the garage are narrow. As far as the apartment itself, it was comfortable, but the towels and sheets were very warn; the beds had plastic covers under the sheets and the blankets provided were spongy and old. The kitchen was way under-equipped. We were there over Thanksgiving, but there was not adequate cookware for us all to make dinner. No measuring spoons, no large cookware or pots (even though it is supposed to sleep at least 6); the pots and pans were substandard, scratched and looked warn; some of the utensils were falling apart so we had to purchase cooking ware for use our own.
We would stay here again, but the owner might first consider an overall upgrade of sheets, towels, cookware.
As home owners who rent out a beautiful home in North Carolina. we believe that guests should feel they are right at home and have everything they need. We provide new towels, a good set of cookware and silverware; our blankets and sheets are fresh and warm. I hope these are helpful suggestions.
Our Sky View Condo is the most private as it is on the 3rd floor. It has the best views and gets plenty of natural light. We take great pride in our 3 condo rentals here as well as our other rental properties. We always appreciate comments and take all of them seriously. We assure that our linens are high thread count and comfortable. We look forward to having you as our guests.
Yours Sincerely,
William Harty,
