The home hosts a enclosed backyard for relaxing and grilling out. Dinning indoors or take it outdoor under the blue skies of New Mexico. The bathroom is fully remodeled with stone top vanity and soft wood floors. One large bedroom with a full bed sleeps two and has a backyard entrance. The middle room has a queen bed and sleeps 2. Laundry on site. Off street parking with space for two vehicles.

We are both designers working in the build industry. We have 19 year old twin boys who are attending university locally. We like to go to the mountains in winter and to lakes in the summer.

There are loads of things to do in New Mexico. Check out Old Town in Albuquerque, the Luminaria walks at Christmas time are delightful. There are museums, galleries, restuarants, skiing/snowboarding, tram rides, hikiing and rafting. A train ride away in Santa Fe there are more old world features. Take a museum walk up Canyon Road at dusk or take in a show at the Lensic theatre. Check out shopping and a concentration of artisan work rivaling no other place in New Mexico. There are mountains and hot springs within a day drive. Come see it and you will be hooked! Not to mention the food. Oh the green and red chile to try is a panoply of flavors for the taste buds. Try it medium try it hot or work up a tolerance while you are here.

Close to everythiing

Not that Albuquerque is a huge city (we live in Chicago), but it really is centrally located, close to downtown, Old Town, and expressways. Small house, but perfect for a small family on the go. The 2 bedrooms were good size, we were even able to fit a pack and play in either bedroom for our toddler. The kitchen had everything we needed for our week long stay. Maybe the best feature of this house is the off street parking it offered. I noticed there are many local residents/visitors that take up the parking on the street, so this house having a driveway to park in is key. No fighting for a parking space!

The homeowner was very responsive to questions we had before and during our stay. Very helpful for us as we were traveling with our toddler for the first time. I would rent this house again, if/when we return to visit family in the area.

This little bungalow in historic Albuquerque was a half-way point for my girlfriends from the SE Tucson area and me from Denver. We wanted a fun get-away to catch up our friendship and we could not have made a better choice - walked to dinner, walked to breakfast or just sat on the cool breezy front porch with our coffee in the a.m. and a glass of wine in the p.m. Lovely quiet neighborhood, friendly neighbors and a host who was ready to help with anything we might have needed (which was nothing more than some extra towels). Beautiful kitchen, comfy beds, sitting and dining areas. I would highly recommend this house and this host.

Rated 5 stars due to the owner's responsiveness to our needs and her great communication. Really cute casita in a great, easily accessible downtown location (with restaurants and grocery store close by). House has everything you need for extended stays. Would definitely stay again.

Everything was clean and ready for our arrival

The property met my expectations and was the perfect site to stay while visiting my son during his spring break at UNM. The bungalow is close to everything and very convenient to Old Town, downtown, Nob Hill and freeways. The neighborhood was quiet and wish we would have had more time to spend at the house but there is so much to see and do in New Mexico. We were always heading somewhere each day. Before we arrived Carrie checked in with us several times to ensure we could get in the house which was very simple. I would stay again if the bungalow was available.

very disappointed

the ceiling fan in the living room was so full of dust that it was falling off the blades, every pot, pan, dish and utensil that was used had to be washed first as the prior people left food remnant on them. the upholstered furniture in the living room stunk and the arms were so dirty they were black. there was something dirty on the 2nd bedroom comforter. the back yard needed to be cleaned up, it was full of leaves from fall and prior renters cigarette buts. we only stayed for 1 week, not the month we paid for.

Owner's Response: I feel terrible that Jackie and her husband had such issues with the place but did not feel inclined to tell me. I would have discounted their rate or done something to make up for the issues. I take pride in my home and do not want this to ever happen again. I can tell you that Jackie and her husband arrived early and wanted to get in the house, so we did our best to get them in as early as we could. The cleaner was feeling rushed as they were outside waiting, but the house was cleaned before they were allowed in. We expect our guests to leave the house as they find it, which includes cleaning the dishes correctly before putting them away. I would like to know if this does not happen so I can give feedback to the correct party, and not find out later on a review. We want our guests to contact us anytime, for anything. I also want to check on guests to make sure everything is working and that they are comfortable, so after many attempts to contact Jackie, with no response, I went by and knocked on the door. I was told at that time the chair (only the chair) smelled and needed cleaning. I have since cleaned the chair with upholstery cleaner. I am now looking to replace the chair in question. I will check for cigarette butts and remove any that may be in the yard. I want to reiterate this is a non-smoking house. Period. They did point out the dust on the ceiling fan and I offered to clean it. It has since been cleaned. Jackie did not make any other complaints at the time, and I thought we had a good conversation. They simply told me they may be leaving early, as they had seen a lot of Albuquerque and could not find enough places that were dog friendly. They also suggested that they were suffering from allergies and just wanted to go home. I thought it was abrupt, but didn't press them on the subject. So when they left a message a few days later that they had left, I just accepted their choice. I was not sucessful at booking the place on short notice after they left.

This house met my needs completely, plus it had character and a friendly, helpful owner. I really appreciated the fact that the owner made it so easy for me to have my dogs there, too.

Roma Ave. is located in the historic district of west downtown Albuquerque. There are many walkable places to visit. Old Town Albuquerque is 1.5 miles from the home. There are museums and galleries nearby and downtown Albuquerque is even closer and has many bars, restaurants a movie theater, shops and galleries. There is a farmers market on Saturday mornings that is 4 blocks away. University of New Mexico is 2.3 miles away. Uptown the newest shopping district is 10 minutes away. Santa Fe Ski basin is 1 hour by train and Sandia mountain tram is 20 minutes by car.

Please leave the place as you found it. Wet and used towels can be left in the laundry basket. Pick up after your pets and any other things you may leave behind. For those staying longer term trash days are Wednesday morning on the curb. There is a green binder in the kitchen with house rules and particulars. Please add menus and other brochures that you would like to share future guest. Thank you
