6 bedroom, sunroom, open concept, walk/bike to everything!

Welcome to your home away from home. Situated on a quiet, tree-lined street, with partially fenced in back yard, makes this an ideal home for families. An additional front porch is a relaxing oasis, and sounds of the ocean may often be heard in the quiet hours of the evening. The home is comfortably maintained with central air conditioning.

Also with tankless water heater, so never run out of hot water.

The first floor is comprised of a fully stocked kitchen with a table for seating up to 16, a beautiful sunroom with double pull-out couch, and a family room with queen pullout sofa. Two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed and walk-in closet, and one with a double bed, twin day bed/trundle are also present. A large mudroom with a shower and a full bathroom with shower and double sinks complete the first floor.

There is a cable tv and DVD player in the 1st floor family room. Movies are available in addition to games, books and some toys. There is a pack 'n play and wooden highchair available for small guests. As is customary in Cape May, linens are to be brought or managed via a linen company, and bike rentals are available if desired. The house has pillows, comforters and mattress pads. Please bring sheets and pillow covers.

The second floor houses a master suite with king bed, walk-in closet, sitting area, cable tv, gorgeous bath with jacuzzi tub, and additional bedroom with twin trundle.

The third floor is comprised of two bedrooms with ample closets, one with a queen bed, and one with two twin beds. An additional full bathroom is available with a tub.

The outside is partially fenced in with grassy area large enough for lawn games. There is an outdoor shower for use to remove sand prior to entering the home. A charcoal grill is available for use in the backyard. There is ample off street parking, and additional non-metered parking is always available on the street.

This property is in an ideal location, close to the beach, shops, park, and restaurants. The beach is a mere 7 blocks down Madison Ave. There is a park one block from the home, with a pond, playground, pavilion,and basketball court. The Washington Inn and Harry's are within walking distance. Numerous other restaurants and bars are very close, accessible by walking, biking, or driving. Additional Cape May attractions such as wineries, marina, lighthouse, and zoo are within a very short drive from this location.

We welcome any and all questions with regards to favorite restaurants, bars, etc.

The property is rented sunday to sunday for weekly rentals and special requests for other days can be requested but is at the discretion of the owners to make concessions to other days. Person signing the rental agreement must be at least 25 years old.

Why Sean & Stacey Lacey chose Historic District

We love this home for its versatility and accommodations. It is open, yet feels very homey, and everyone has plenty of space. We love the convenience of having everything so close. We travel everywhere either by foot or by bike. Prior to owning this home, we stayed in various hotels/B&Bs usually in the heart of Cape May and often directly on the beach. We found it to be noisy in the evenings with those staying up late coming home from the bars and early mornings with delivery trucks. We feel this home is a quiet retreat, yet close to anything you would need!

What makes this house unique

We love the back yard, which is a hot commodity in Cape May. There is more than enough parking, which wasn't present with other properties we considered. We love the quiet and the sounds of the ocean as we wind down at the end of the day.

We had a wonderful stay in cape may. The house is set up so everyone in our party had their own space and the common area on the first floor was spacious and not crowded. The location is ideal as it is close to the mall and to restaurants. The beach is a short walk or quick bike ride. Can also drive and there are several off street spots off beach ave that are not metered if desired.

Spacious & great location

We had a Coast Guard Academy graduate so we were in for the weekend. To say we were a blended family would be an understatement. The house was perfect for us with room for everyone to be together for meals and fun but also retreat to our own space. It was very clean and comfortable. We walked to the beach and town easily and if the weather would have been on our side we could have probably walked to base. Great house for large families.

Wonderful 'off-season' choice

Our group of 16 (!) held our annual New Years gathering in this lovely home, and it has jumped to the top of our list of favorite houses for an 'off-season' gathering in Cape May (maybe I should say non-summer, as there are still many businesses open, even in December). Open first-floor layout (kitchen, dining, living) with long table allowed cooking and socializing and game playing and just hanging out. Bedrooms with pull out trundles accommodated us all. Kitchen had all the cooking items we needed, including an electric steamer which we used to heat up tamales! We had no trouble with the coffee maker (filter bucket swings out forward) and made use of it multiple times daily.

Great location - quiet neighborhood

My cousins and our families had a mini family reunion in Cape May (first time for all of us). The house was spacious enough for 7 adults, 2 teenagers and 4 kids under the age of 7! Sunroom in the back was a great place to throw the kids and all their toys! Central location to the beach and Cape May Downtown (the shopping area off of Washington Street) - it was an easy and safe walk for everyone! I'm only rating a 4 because there were massive amounts of mosquitoes in the back so we weren't able to enjoy the backyard in the evenings which we were looking forward to doing. Even with bug spray and citronella candles, we weren't able to keep those buggers away! Overall, great location and place to stay!

the house met all of our needs for the week. Cape May is bicycler ,hiker, kayaker,beacher friendly

We loved the location. The house was spacious and well equipped...You thought of everything

to make our family vacation one to remember! One suggestion to improve the comfort for our family that includes 8 adults is to change the one full bed to a queen size bed, otherwise perfect.
