Our host was very responsive and helpful. The gentlemen on site were great. The house is spacious and accommodating. Everything is well taken care of. It is not on the beach, but access is close nearby

Wonderful Time

We stayed here (four of us in our family) at the end of June. Diani beach is beautiful and Ukunda is great. The people on the coast are so friendly! (Albeit, the hawkers can get be pushy, but accept that it is part of the experience). We were very pleased with our stay at Diani Sands Cottage. We drove from Kampala, Uganda and were able to easily find the location. The cottage itself is lovely. Each room is very nicely done, has air conditioning, and the beds were comfortable. The pool is a bit on the small side, but perfect for getting out of the heat. You are only a short walk away from the beach -- and to get there you have private access complete with a small covered area and even a BBQ fire pit if you want to do a roast by the ocean. We even watched the sun set as well as a sun rise from the spot in privacy - it's really quite nice. The guard, chef, and property manager are great. The chef especially makes incredible food. We were very impressed with the quality and taste of each meal. Anyway, highly recommended all the way around. Great place. No real complaints.

Why they chose this property

After having been to Kenya 3 years in a row 2001-2003 we fell in love with the Diani Coast we decided to purchase a plot near the beach and have are own Cottage built. Construction was completed in May 2005. It is very quiet area surrounded by tropical garden but is in easy reach of all amenities and only 200 metres from the fantastic white sandy beaches of Kenya
