About Doreen Casserly

Private renter of one cottage which we renovated approx 6 years ago. Hoping to provide an authentic Irish experience to families from all over the world.

Why Doreen Casserly chose County Westmeath

It is a lovely old / but fully modernised cottage in the middle of a typically rural Irish village. It is close to Lough Ree and very central - with easy access to many towns - Athlone, Roscommon, Longford, Mullingar etc. It is also ideally located for day trips to Dublin (1.5 Hours), Galway (1.25 hours) etc.

What makes this cottage unique

The property is a ground floor property, is wheelchair accessible and has bathrooms set up to support fully.

Country house in Ireland

  • 5 of 5

We found this rental at the last minute before a trip to Ireland. The house is in a small village, very quiet, nice pub. There are 2 larger towns nearby for supplies. This was a perfect place for us, no other tourists, very clean, homey, had all the amenities including an electric clothes dryer. Owners were very responsive to fireplace issues and very trusting (nice to see these days). It is conveniently located within a couple of hours of many places to see (castles, cities, etc) yet out of the way enough to really relax. We loved it and would absolutely stay there again.

Paradise in Newtown Cashel

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was fantastic!, it's very well equipped, clean and we didn't want for anything. We were delighted that our family dog was able to come, and he had a great time out in the massive garden at rear of cottage. Doreen and Martin and family, very warming and welcoming.

Newtown Cashel is close to beautiful lakes & the harbour. The local shop is 2 mins from cottage & pub 5 mins walk. We would recommend this cottage to all our friends and family.

Looking forward to getting back to the cottage.

Last may was my sixth time in that cottage : always a very, very kind welcome from Doreen and Martin, and a very confortable stay.

Newton Cashel is a peacefully village near from the Lough Ree where you can find good fishing conditions for trout and pike from march to november.

Ask anything you want : Martin will make it easilly !

Familienurlaub mit Hund

  • 4 of 5
