About the property

This is a central London two bedroom apartment that has been completely renovated. The accommodation is spacious, airy and light. The kitchen and bathroom are new with granite worktops in the kitchen and a marble bathroom.

It is well equipped and very comfortable.

We provide free WI-FI access,guest safe, coffee machine and quality linen. We have a fold up guest bed which can be used to accommodate a 5th guest (child)additional charges apply.

The apartment is situated in Zone 1, near the Southbank. It is possible to walk to Tate Britain

in 10 minutes and Big Ben, the London Eye and the Southbank center in 15/20 minutes.

View London from the river Thames, the river bus stop is 10 minutes walk from the apartment.

Park with children's play area, tennis courts and italian cafe two minutes walk away.

Why Mary Ginty chose London

This apartment is my former home, very comfortable and very central. The street is very quiet but a short walk from the transport system to get you around town.

The Thames Clipper river bus is 5 minutes walk away and it is an amazing way to view the city and much cheaper than the tourist charter boats.

Great location, exactly as advertised, well equipped, and perfect for visiting London.

The pictures and property description are what we found. No surprises. Vito and Mary helped us through the rental process from start to finish. Vito was there when we arrived to introduce us to the neighborhood and the apartment. The wonderful lemon cake, drinks, snacks, and breakfast foods provided us with the essentials we needed after a tiring trip. Read the other good reviews. You can believe them. Everything you need is available within a few minutes walk. The tube, train station, bus stops, and river taxi are all very close. You can tour all of London without a car easily from this flat.

Close to everything but tucked in a quiet corner. Apartment was a delight. Everything you would need and everything first rate. Wonderful beds and a great place to relax after exploring London. Can't recommend highly enough.

Clean comfortable and well equipped. This apartment was perfect for our week long stay. Safe and conveniently situated. Only a short walk to the Victoria line. Sainsburys right next to the entrance had all we needed after an exhausting day out. Vito was very helpful and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this apartment.

Cozy and convenient

Our family of four, two adults and two teenagers, found this a perfect base for our 8-day trip to London in the week leading up to Easter. Vito greeted us as we arrived and showed us around the 3rd floor flat. It appeared exactly as it had in photos, with all promised conveniences. Vito had stocked the fridge and cupboard with a few thoughtfully chosen items like tea, milk, jam, and cookies, and the lovely lemon tart mentioned in prior reviews. We provisioned ourselves from nearby small grocery stores (Little Waitrose and Sainsbury's Local) for breakfasts and some dinners in, and my husband loved the access to a Starbucks. We found the beds comfortable and the flat was a quiet place to retreat to after busy touring days in the city. We never would have slept so well in a hotel. The two single beds in one bedroom were perfect for our teens who no longer find it fun sharing a bed. The hot water was plentiful, and there were adequate outlets for our many devices, including a nice charging tower with two adapters. There is even a small safe - remember to ask for the combination because these are not self-programming like many in US hotels.

It was so convenient being a few minutes walk from Vauxhall Station where there is access to both the underground and the train station; we bought 7-day travel cards and loaded them on Oyster Cards for easy transit. We took day trips to the Making of Harry Potter in Leavesden and to York to see the Minster, streets, and walls and a bit of the countryside from the train. We otherwise stayed in central London seeing the sights. The location near the south bank made for easy access to the embankment walk, many attractions along the Thames, and to bridges into London proper.

If you are a foodie, do not miss Borough Market! French duck confit sandwiches and cream-filled doughnuts! We were not able to try Italo, the little Italian deli, as it was closed on the two or three occasions we stopped by. We liked Nando's so much on our first jet-lagged night that we ate there again on our last night -- a good informal option for families.

We would stay here again in a heartbeat and will recommend to anyone looking to stay in London.

Car: not necessary

The accommodation is located just 3 minutes from Vauxhall station and two stops from Victoria Station. Vauxhall is a new transport interchange and it is possible to take the train, Tube or several buses all over London. It is 4 stops or 10 minutes to the West End/Oxford Street/Regent street on the tube.

From Kings cross-St Pancras you can take a direct tube to Vauxhall station- it takes 15 minutes on the Victoria line.

The Gatwick express train runs every 15 minutes between the airport and Victoria station.

Bus/coach services from Standsted Airport to Victoria station run four times per hour and take approx 1 hour.Check in time is from 3pm to 11pm Check out time is by 10.30am. Please contact us for check in outside of these hours

If you would like to view London from the river, the river bus stop is 7 minutes walk from the apartment,the Thames clipper is a passenger riverboat.

Bike hire is available from Vauxhall Station

There are restaurants and cafe within walking distance. Our neighborhood deli 'Italo' is two minutes walk away and serves fresh Italian produce with a daily changing menu.

Sainsbury's and Waitrose supermarket located at the underground station (3 minutes walk)

The famous Bonnington Cafe is located just around the corner. The cafe is vegetarian and is run by the local community with a different chef each night.A delicious 3 course home cooked meal costs as little at £12. Bring your own wine, no corkage charge.

The local pub, The Black Dog serves great English food.

The Tea House Theater cafe is located close by and is great for tea and cake.

Visit the Garden Museum Cafe which was recently voted in the top ten best cafes in the world. It is a picturesque 15 minute walk from the apartment.

There are many restaurants and bars located on the Southbank which is a short walk away.
