Very Nice Stay
Had a little trouble figuring out the digital TV but Christopher came right over and walked us through it. The place is immaculate and the kitchen spacious and well supplied. We will return.
Nice visit in Burbank
We visited Burbank to go to universal studios haunted Halloween nights and see Hollywood. The accommodations were just fine, no complaints. There is plenty of room and it has all the comforts of home. The only time we were in the studio was to sleep and shower so we didn’t use the kitchen but it seemed well equipped. The only small downside is that there didn’t seem to be any convenient store within walking distance but we took a lyft everywhere which was fine. I wished there had been a bath mat in the tub for traction and only noticed when I was leaving that there was one in the drawer! The only other recommendations I would make is to maybe have some complimentary bottled water and add some towel racks or hooks to hang towels because there is currently no where to hang them to dry completely for using the next day. Other than that I would recommend staying here and I would definitely stay again if I find myself visiting the area again. Thanks for the great visit!!
Sanctuary is the Perfect Name
Christopher and Gloria went over and above to make our stay so comfortable and restful! I would recommend this studio apartment in a great neighborhood to anyone and I will be back on my next stay in Burbank! Thanks Christopher and Gloria you were wonderful hosts!
Great Place to stay
The property was very clean and well kept when we arrived. It is in a nice neighborhood and everything was just as expected. Check in process was very simple and we had no problems with our stay.
Our second stay
This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property. The unit is comfortable and very clean. The host makes you feel very welcome with a nice note, wine, and cookies. We would definitely stay here again.
This property is perfect for showering and sleeping which is basically all we do when we visit.
For the benefit of others, we were curious why we lost one star, so we asked!
Us: "Hello Marilyn and Walker, I hope you are doing well. I see we lost a star on the review. What was expected and required of us to receive a perfect rating for what we advertised. Looking forward to your response."
Guest: "Only because we replaced the batteries in the remote control and had to wash our own linens due to the length of our stay. Otherwise, we love staying with you and hope to do it again soon. We will be sure to make our next trip in the off season when it is more affordable for us. Kind regards, Fred and Marilyn"
Us: "Hello Fred and Marilyn,
What we do ask is that guests reach out if they need anything at all. This was the last line in my welcome email when you booked and I wish to respond to both of these important remarks.
I wish to address the remote. When Marilyn texted me about this, you were out of the apartment and I offered to come over to resolve the issue. I was not aware it was batteries and it is impossible to predict when batteries will go bad. I let Marilyn know to reach out if the TV issue was not resolved and she said if it continued to be an issue she would. I never heard back so I presumed you had fixed it. I have a case of AAA batteries here and I live a mile away. There are batteries for the smoke alarm, the AC remote, the TV remote, the Amazon remote and they all will eventually go out. I was available and ready to resolve any guest issue at any time, because that is the level of service we offer at this place.
I understand that you washed your own linens, however you do not have to. I mentioned in the welcome email we will exchange towels at no cost. If you want a turnover for an extended stay, the fee is $22 per turnover. Our housekeepers are paid twice the minimum wage because they are excellent and hard working with families, so we pay a living wage. In my view of it, VRBO guests are looking for a deal. That said, the full service motel down the street is $199 per night plus lodging tax which brings the rate over $225 per night at the same time of the year you stayed. Summer is the most expensive time. If you want a turnover, you can reach out to request it. Most guests prefer not to pay for turnovers and simply enjoy the savings, so we don't add that into the cost of the stay. Best regards, Christopher Matthew and Gloria"
I love the Magnolia Park area of Burbank. This property sits next to the Chandler bike path and is walking distance from the downtown Burbank area. There's convenient food, markets and plenty of shopping nearby.
