Great stay in Colmar

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at this apartment in Colmar for 16 days and used it as a very comfortable home base. It is in an excellent location in the city and also close to so many areas that we wanted to see, the wine route and all the charming little villages in the area, the excellent car museum in Mulhouse, Strasbourg, and also Basel, Switzerland and Lahr, Germany.

We enjoyed the charm of the apartment and it offered us a pleasant, homey feel. All in all, very nice and we would stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Parking was difficult, even though it was low season but we managed. For a longer stay if you want to cook, the kitchen is very nice but could use a few more utensils and pans.

Owner's Response: Thanks a lot for your opinion . We apraciate also your kindness and will be happy to welcome you again . We are quite surprised about your comments about parking availabilities .We never had such a remark and our guests usually use our little map to easily find a toll free parking place . We also note to add some pans in the kitchen , wealready had it in view , as the 3 actuals have to be changed.

Great Colmar choice!

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay in this comfortable apartment. It is in a perfect location. It is just as lovely as the pictures show, and the bed is very comfortable. Mr. Fuchs provides all the information you need to enjoy your stay. Although he lives out of town, he replied almost immediately to questions by email. He also provides his phone number, as well as that of his very capable greeter who lives nearby. The highest recommendation is that we felt we could have easily spent a full week in this apartment. Thank you for a wonderful stay in this beautiful town.

Excellent flat in the heart of old town

  • 5 of 5

The flat is quite spacious, and well furnished with a remodeled kitchen, a large living room, nice bedroom and bath, and a spare office/bunkbed room which we did not use. Bernard, the owner, is excellent in giving good service, for example he has put together a notebook which discussed everything you might need to know about the flat, Colmar and the surrounding area. His helper person, Mrs. Haderer, does not speak English, so if you do not speak French I would suggest you have google translator downloaded and ready to go on your phone, it will help, although there really isn't much for Mrs. Haderer to say, the notebook covers everything. Absolutely perfect location, we parked the car and walked everywhere, and it was also not too noisy, being on a bit of a side street. Lots of windows, all of which opened, which provide excellent cross ventilation. We were very comfortable here and would highly recommend Bernard's flat for anybody traveling in the Alsace region. Oh, and restaurant wise, our best meal in town was at le epicurean.

Enjoyable visit to Colmar!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the apartment with my family for 3 weeks in August 2015. We loved our visit to Colmar and the Alsace region of France. The apartment fit our needs almost perfectly. Was clean, perfectly situated and provided most of the amenities we were looking for. Mme Haderer was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. She explained everything we needed to know, could not have asked for more!

The only thing that could have made it better was the fact that the region was experiencing a heat wave while we were there, and no air conditioning made it a bit uncomfortable at times. Besides that, it was the perfect place to stay! I highly recommend it!

Owner's Response: Thanks a lot for your apreciation. We also had a very good experience with you , and will be happy to welcome you again. concerning the heat wave, it was the second hotest summer in the past 100 years in Colmar ( and all over France) so we thinks that an air conditionning system only will be used a few days each year and it is not Worth to put it . Nevertheless , we note your wish and when we will have to chnge the heating system ( which is much more usefull in Alsace) we will think about implementing a reversable air conditioning and heatng system. Best regards Bernard

Magical stay!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had anabsolutely magical stay in Alsace and the apartment in Colmar was a big part of that magic!! It is so well furnished and equipped - we enjoyed having a "borrowed" home to return to at the end of every day.

Mr. Fuchs and Mrs. Haderer made us feel so welcome - everything from the reservation to the stay was just smooth sailing.

A brilliant place to stay...

  • 5 of 5

A brilliant place to stay. Very spacious, very well equipped, and centrally located in the heart of the Colmar old town. So convenient to all the places you want to go. The building definitely has that wonderful Alsace character but everything inside is very modern. We loved it and would recommend this apartment to anyone who want to stay in central Colmar
