Spacious apartment with secure entry. Well supplied with all appliances except washing machine.

  • 4 of 5

Yola was very prompt in her answering of any enquiries. Her HomeAway software is not well formatted unfortunately, so a lot of unnecessary digital overload appears in her correspondence. Perhaps VRBO could help her to overcome this problem? The area around the apartment is very busy with a lot of improvements happening. The Etienne Marcel metro is very close & it is the middle N-S metro line (4) & has immediate coverage to the Gare du Nord & Gare de l'Est & to the Montparnasse district. The apartment was quiet at night as it overlooks an internal courtyard. Plenty of restaurants & two supermarkets are quite close by also. Interestingly enough, the apartment is very close to being in the centre of the current official Tourist Information Map of Paris. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Paris, particularly thanks to Yola & her fine apartment. A & R from Australia

Location! Location! Location!

  • 4 of 5

Loved our stay in the apartment. Location is awesome!!!! Plenty of places to eat. The apartment is cozy and charming! No complaints about noise and the blackout curtains make it hard to get out of bed :-). Very secure building, no elevator but apartment is on the 2nd floor. I highly recommend it. (We stayed with our teenage son and he was very comfortable on the sofa bed!)

Charming apartment in a quiet building

  • 5 of 5

Nice apartment, well-maintained by the owner Yola, a kind woman who teaches yoga. The building is very quiet. There is no elevator, but walking up two short flights of stairs is a no-brainer, and good exercise, especially for us lazy Americans. The location is quite nice, with lots of small restaurants and bars just a few blocks away. The bathroom is nice-sized, although for a man of 210 pounds who is 6 feet tall, the shower is just slightly smaller than one is used to, but hey - it's Paris! Takes one or two showers before you master how to stick the shower curtain to the wall in a certain manner so that water doesn't pool on the floor, but that's part of the charm of Paris! ;-)

The kitchen is very nice, and the table and surrounding are great. Again, a very quiet building.

My only issue was with the bed, listed as a dual-control bed that could lift its back up (a la hospital style bed). While I never utilized this feature, I did find the bed a bit small for a man my size. I'm sure if you're smaller, it would not be a problem, but for a guy my size, I pretty much had to lie coffin-style, all night long. Oddly enough, I woke up many mornings with an aversion to Garlic. (ahem) The dual half-width duvets didn't make things any easier. Literally, the blanket/duvet is (only) approximately 3.5 feet wide, not leaving much play in the middle of the night to become quickly uncovered. Seemingly, this was not an issue in the reviews from many other people who rented this unit, so I will certainly add this could just be me. But if you're 6 feet or over, it may be something to be aware of, but certainly nothing to keep you from renting this unit. Huge bonus was the street market on Sunday morning and (at least when I was there) Thursdays (I think!). Perhaps the best farmers market I have ever seen, anywhere. Period. Great apt. Great location, great arrondissement. Go 2eme!

100% wonderful! Great apartment and great location! Highly recommended.

This is a perfect apartment, but the location makes it even better. My husband and I just spent a week there (October 2016) on our first trip to Paris with no French speaking skills and minimal experience with public transportation. We got lost and made mistakes, but we managed to use the RER (subway) and bus for all of our transportation from the time we landed in Paris. The Chatelet-Les Halls station is a short walk from the apartment and provides access to the rest of Paris. It is an easy one line trip from Charles De Gaulle airport. (If you like to shop, Forum Les Halles is a large mall at the station.)

Restaurants, cafes, and shops of all kinds are literally steps from the door. Some days there is an open air market which is literally just outside the entrance. The Louvre, Cathedral Notre Dame, Musee d'Orsay, and much, much more are within easy walking distance or the subway can be taken to save your feet if needed. Highlights for us were a Gregorian mass at Notre-Dame, watching the sunset from the top of the Eiffel tower, The Louvre, Sainte Chapelle, Musee d'Orsay, Musee Marmottan-Monet, and Musee l'Orangerie. We love the Impressionists and especially Monet. If you share that interest, the last 3 museums on the list are Must See's! Sainte Chapelle is so beautiful - and it's less than a 10 minute walk from the apartment. We also spent one day in Versailles - we're glad we went but it wasn't a highlight for us.

Yola has the apartment stocked to meet all basic needs. I'd read to take your own washcloths to France, but she had those, too. The bed is even adjustable - each side can raise or lower the head and foot sections separately!

Quiet flat in a bustling central neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week living at Yola's flat, and had a wonderful time. It is a small but well equipped flat on the 2nd floor of an old building steps from the Les Halles station. The location is perfect: right next to the pedestrian Rue Montorgueil, with all of its cafés and bakeries, and walking distance to most of the major tourist sites in Paris. We were sad to leave!

Cute apartment in a great nieghborhood

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was very comfortable and had everything you needed for a long stay. There are many restuarants and shops close. The Les Halles subway stop is just a few blocks away. The Louvre and the Sienne are very close as well. I would recommend the apartment to couples. It is quiet, but once you walk out the courtyard, your are in the middle of a vibrant nieghborhood.
