About this property

This property is the perfect spot to set up camp for a week at the beach. It is about 200 steps to the sand. It is in the perfect location along this little strand of coast to utilize all the surrounding piers. It is about a mile walk down to the Newport pier. Close enough to walk (takes us about 30 minutes along the water) or bike to the shops and restaurants, but far enough to escape the parking lots that bring in larger day use crowds. This unit is our downstairs unit. Both units (downstairs and upstairs) have their own private entrance on opposite sides of the building along with their own private patio. You do not share any space but the driveway.) This unit is downstairs, so you may hear people upstairs if they have heavy feet. If the chance of this happening sounds like it will ruin your trip, this may not be the spot for you. From our reviews, you will see we have a lot of families that are very happy with the great price and great location and stay here year after year. It includes a master bedroom with a queen bed and a private bathroom. A second bedroom with a queen bed and a third bedroom with a full over full bunk bed. It has a second full shared bathroom in the hall. When you enter the property, it has an open concept living area with a couch and a dining table so that everyone can hang out in the same space. All of the bedrooms, as well as the living area, have flat screen TVs on the wall. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need to eat in. It has a coffee maker (pot and keurig) toaster and microwave. There is a patio out back with a sitting area, a charcoal BBQ and a small fire pit. This unit has enough room to park 2 cars. (one in the garage and one in the driveway.) Street parking can be hard to find so this reserved space makes a big difference! There are beach chairs, sand toys, umbrellas and a washer/dryer in the garage. We do our best to keep our property well maintained and up to date. We just have this one little property that we fell in love with and enjoy visiting to make lasting memories with our family and enjoying sharing it with other families doing the same thing. We are happy to help with any part of your vacation we can, from planning to restaurant suggestions. We hope you will enjoy our humble home and love it here as much as we do!

Family with Adult Children

It was important for us that our sons had their own beds since they are adults, but we still wanted to stay as a family somewhere. This beach house was perfect! The kids surfed, we went to Disney one day and had a great time exploring the Newport Beach area. The location is amazing! Clean house with great bathrooms and comfortable beds. We would stay here again without hesitation. Thank you!

Quiet area VERY close to sand

This property is very very close to the sand, probably a 90 second walk. It was real easy to go back to grab something you left behind. Also, you can’t tell by looking at a map that the benefit of this area is that it’s less crowded with visitors and traffic. Nobody is driving through this neighborhood unless they live there, and it’s just houses, there's no shopping or attractions (other than the beach), and there’s no parking for anyone not staying there. It’s real quiet and plenty of room on the beaches. Also, anything you need is still a very short distance. We walked to the coffee & breakfast shops right next to the neighborhood. The check in process was super easy and the owner was very responsive and helpful. Property was very clean and everything was as-advertised. The garage was stocked with beach chairs and other beach stuff, and my family and I rode the bikes every day. Like the description said, you can hear people upstairs but it didn’t keep us up. Each room has a good floor fan good for people like us that sleep with fans. This is an awesome place.

Cozy house close to the beach.

This is an older home that has a small patio with a table and chairs and a wood fire pit. The living area has wood floors with a large L shaped sectional and a picnic style dining table. It’s not well lit. The 3 bedrooms are carpeted. We were 4 adults and were comfortable in the apartment. We stayed in December, and the heat worked well. The bathrooms both have walk in showers. The vanities have some counter space for toiletries or makeup. The kitchen is galley style with granite countertops. The oven vent did not work and the sink faucet was wobbly. The landlord offered to send a plumber, but we weren’t using the kitchen except to cook eggs. The unit was very quiet until tenants arrived in the unit above us. We could hear them walking above us and hear their toilets flushing. There were bikes to use and a washer and dryer in the garage.

So close to the beach!

Loved the location and the beach was so close!! Plenty of room for our family of five plus Grandma. Fans were provided but it still got a little warm especially the room with the bunk beds. A window A/C would have been nice but overall, very very pleased with the location and the apartment 😊

My family and I love to travel. We enjoy seeing new places, although we also tend to revisit favorites. All four of us are fish and could spend all day in the sun and water. Unfortunately, school and work like to get in the way!

Why they chose this property

After going on vacation in Newport Beach we were all hooked. We knew this was some place we wanted to visit every summer with the kids and eventually the grandkids. When we found this property it felt like a perfect fit. We like that it is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and we can go back and forth from the house to the beach easily. Our walks to the pier together every morning to look for shells and pick up a coffee (and the uninterrupted talks that go with that) are priceless to me.

What makes this property unique

It is so awesome to be able to park the car and get out and exercise. During our beach week we take long walks on the beach, ride bikes, swim, paddle board and kayak. For us it is less than an hour away from our home but feels like a world away without all of the everyday distractions. It is so great being near 50th. You miss the traffic and crowds that come with being closer to the pier and the parking lots. This downstairs unit stays hidden from the street and sun and feels very quiet and private. It also tends to stay pretty cool in the summer heat. We love it!!
