About Sarah Morris McCauley
I grew up in Louisville, KY, and then traveled all over the world. Plus, I have lived in many places throughout the US. Throughout that time Louisville has always remained my favorite city. There is just too much that is great + unique about this city I call home once again!
Sarah Morris McCauley purchased this Condo in 2013

801 Loft has everything you could want in a downtown living space. Sarah Jennifer and Jill made sure everything was taken care of before we arrived. The beds are extremely comfortable. The views from this loft is wonderful.
Terrific spot in the center of downtown.
We had a group of 7 in town for a Louisville basketball game. Tons of space and perfectly located within walking distance to YUM Center and plenty of great bars and restaurants. Complimentary coffee and bottled water was a nice extra bonus. Highly recommend.
Everythig was so organized!
From the very start Sarah kept me in the loop as to what was happening, answered any questions, and upon arrival was greeted by Maggie Joe with a very warm welcome. The loft was very clean and had more amenities than we needed.
Thanks again for a great stay!
We came down to celebrate a bachelor party, and everyone in the group had nothing but great things to say. Very clean, plenty of space and the employees were very helpful if we had any questions regarding Louisville. Would definitely come again if we ever find ourselves down that way!
Nice building, very clean and the staff are very accomodating!
We rented this loft for a church youth group so all the kids and adults could be in one place and maximize our time together on this trip. We had 24 guests and had access to 3 bathrooms total to accommodate our large group. The bathrooms even had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel there. Everything was very clean. The Murphy beds worked out great and the view of the river was nice. We ordered groceries the day before we checked in and they were ready and waiting when we got there. Sarah was so pleasant to work with and walked us through everything with ease. If our youth group ever comes back to Louisville I would love to stay here again.
Great property in convenient downtown location
Our group of 14 stayed at the Best View Loft and it exceeded our expectations in every way. It was surprisingly spacious (the online photos do not convey well the actual size of the loft). We had ample room to relax, gather and socialize and never once felt cramped. For those with larger groups, do not be put off by the single bathroom in the loft. This was not a problem as Sarah made another full bathroom available. The view is fantastic and the building is unique. In the morning dead downstairs to Jill's Café for some coffee and then check out the blown glass. Once you head out the door, most everything downtown is a convenient walk and if you drive - parking is convenient and easily available. So, big thumbs up to Sarah and her Best View Loft!!
Staying here, you are on the 2.5 mile “Bourbon Line”, the gateway to Bourbon country. Anchored between the Peerless Distilling Company two blocks to our west and Copper & Kings to our east, we sit on a line of bourbon attractions — Evan Williams, Angel’s Envy + the Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse. Grease Monkey Distillery + Moonshine University are also just a few blocks south of the Line. There’s even more amber in our future… the Old Forester Urban Distillery + Rabbit Hole Distilling are opening in late 2017 + Michter’s Micro-Distillery is projected to open in 2018. Welcome to the heart of bourbon distilling in Louisville!!
Yes, we are swimming in bourbon + yet Louisville contains so much more…
Within just a 2-block radius you can:
— Gaze at glass blowing artisans working on the ground level;
— Walk to the world-renowned 21C museum which houses the restaurant Proof on Main + the 21C contemporary art museum. 21C is open 24/7 (gentlemen, you MUST visit the men’s room while you are there!);
— Meander down Museum Row which includes the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory, Glassworks, the Frazier History Museum, the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft (the KMAC Museum), 21C 24-hour Museum, the Kentucky Science Center, the Muhammad Ali Center + The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts. We are located directly on Museum Row as part of the historic Glassworks District;
— Imbibe at Bourbon Distilleries: Evan Williams + Peerless;
— Or jog to the Louisville Loop for your morning run in Waterfront Park along the Ohio River
The closest grocery + liquor store is in the CVS at 505 S 4th St, just a 5-8 minute walk from here.
ENTERTAINMENT: Centrally located for walking or driving a very short distance to some of the best dining + bars in Louisville — Downtown/Main Street (you can see it from the window!); SOFO/4th Street Live (0.6 miles); E Market Street/NuLu (1.3 miles); Old Louisville (2 miles); Bardstown Road/The Highlands (3 miles); and Frankfort Avenue/Clifton (3 miles).
I could keep going, but you are only staying for a couple of days, right? If our siren song has enticed you to stay longer or to plan your return, let us know + we can suggest an itinerary just for you!
PARKING AT MY PLACE: I am literally surrounded by parking! There is metered street parking directly in front of the building + in that strip only it's free before 10A, after 5P + on Sunday (NOTE: Always check the meter as the effective times are subject to change); Also there are parking garages directly across the street ($18/day) + directly behind my building ($10/day). Plus, there is slightly cheaper ($7 all day) open lot parking just down the block at the corner of W Market + 8th and to the west of the building ($5 all day) as well. (NOTE: The open lot parking is not best for overnight parking as it expires at either Midnight or 4A, depending on whether you pay at the kiosk or through the app.) This parking information was all true the last time I checked, but it's still all subject to change, as the parking authorities don't keep me updated when they make changes ;-D
TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS: Lyft, Uber, Yellow Cab + Ready Cab. Also, TARC (the Louisville bus system) runs a free downtown trolley—the ZeroBus—that stops directly across from the building about every 15 minutes (except on Sundays + Holidays).
