Luxuriously appointed one-bedroom condo in the Union Building (built 2014) in the heart of downtown Victoria, BC. (If this unit is booked, please also see our other listing at same location,

A perfect location 1/2 a block from the inner harbour, the building spans the entire block between Chinatown to the north and Market Square to the south.

Our top-floor suite affords a spectacular south-facing view over the heritage brick buildings of Old Town, to the inner harbour and Olympic Mountains beyond. Enjoy spectacular sunsets from the small balcony or the living room's comfortable leather furniture.

The 9-foot ceilings and full-height windows allow lots of natural light. The bedroom has a comfy queen-size bed ... and room-darkening blinds for your afternoon naps.

Extra guests can be accommodated with the queen-size sofa-bed, and we also have a Pak'N'Play + bedding for your little one. The full kitchen has new stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need to prepare gourmet meals.

In-suite laundry is provided, and other amenities include telephone, cable + a Smart 4K UHDTV, Netflix, free Wifi internet, air-conditioning, board games, and 1 parking spot in our enclosed, underground parkade. We even have a basic laptop for browsing if you need it (just ask, as it's in storage).

The harbour ferry stops one block away ... take a tour of the Gorge waterway or go for fish & chips at Fisherman's Wharf.

There are numerous excellent restaurants within a few blocks, including Swan's Brewpub, II Terrazzo, ulla, Green Cuisine Vegetarian, Canoe Brewpub, Brasserie L'Ecole, to name just a few.

You will be met by Margaret, our Manager, upon arrival. She will ensure that you have everything you need and answer any questions that you may have. She will be happy to send you info and links prior to your stay, for everything from our recommended restaurant list to transportation info (even bike and kayak rentals)... just ask!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Karen's apartment in Victoria. We corresponded easily with Karen's sister, Margaret, and she met us when we arrived. She was very welcoming and accomodating, helping us store our luggage while the room was being cleaned and providing restaurant and bicycle rental recommendations. The location was perfect - easy walking distance to many restaurants, places of interest, and the bicycle trail, which we took to The Butchart Gardens. The coffee shop right next door (The Habit) had wonderful coffee and muffins. The indian restaurant on the corner of the block (Varsha) was delicious. The bicycle trail was beautiful and well-marked. The apartment itself was immaculate, comfortable, and secure. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Karen and Margaret!

We would not hesitate to stay here again!

My wife and I stayed at the condo from January 23 to February 22, 2018. While this was not our first vacation in downtown Victoria, it was the first stay at this condo.

Our main expectations were for a clean and bright condo with a good view, a comfortable bed, and for weather to accommodate our desire for long daily walks, free of ice and snow.

Our hopes were fully satisfied. The condo has a great view of downtown Victoria and partial views of the harbour. Regarding the weather, local people complained about the chilly Winter, but we prairie folks enjoyed our hardship-free walks thoroughly.

We are vegetarians with a particular like for interesting breads, good wines and beers. The Hudson Market, the Market on Yates, the Wildfire bakery satisfied all our food needs for the meals we prepared, Swan’s Liquor store the rest. Restaurants we frequented and truly enjoyed are simply too numerous to mention. The furthest business mentioned involves a 10 minute walk (Yates), the closest 30 seconds (Swan’s).

Some final words about the owners and the manager of this condo. Karen and Margret were very responsive to some special requests we had for scent free cleaning materials, for example. Responsive owners are essential to a successful vacation.

We unreservedly recommend this condo for a month long vacation.

Great place to stay!

Located in Chinatown and close to everything. Extremely secure building and underground parking. The condo was meticulously clean and Karen, the owner, and Margaret, the manager, were both professional and very helpful. There was a comprehensive binder provided that detailed all you need to know about the condo (with the small exception of washer/dryer instructions) as well as information on local services and attractions. We were in Victoria celebrating our anniversary and stayed at the Fairmont Empress the first two nights and Karen’s condo the final two nights, and we definitely preferred her condo! Thanks Karen! We enjoyed our stay in Victoria very much partly due to the comfortable apartment. Margaret, the manager, met us and let us in and showed us around and it all worked well. The apartment was an easy walk to the town's highlights and many cafes, restaurants and bars as well as Chinatown.

Perfect location to explore downtown! Within one block of the inner harbour, historic Chinatown, Market Square and McPherson Theatre. One block from harbour-ferries for exploring the downtown harbour. Excellent restaurants, cafes, bakeries, pubs, liquor stores, grocery stores all at your doorstep.
