About Charlotte Moats
I've lived here in the valley since 2002, and have been renting out two other properties on VRBO since 2005. Listing #210168 in Vermont is also ours.
Charlotte Moats purchased this Condo in 2014
Why Charlotte Moats chose Wilson
I love this unit because of its light, airy feel. It has the perfect combination of privacy with convenience to amenities. I walk to the grocery store, but typically see wildlife along the way. The bed upstairs looks right out the window into a big pine tree, and feels a bit like sleeping in a tree house. I can be in either the town square or Grand Teton National Park in ten minutes. I can walk out my door to go cross country skiing at Teton Pines, or I can drive 7 minutes to the base of the tram in Teton Village. For the two of us, the open sleeping loft works perfectly, and we prefer the spaciousness of this unit to many of the one bedrooms in this area.

The property was terrific as described. However, it should be noted that the sleeping area in the loft is difficult to manage. I will note that compared to most people we are very fit, healthy and active. The steps are extremely vertical much like ascending a ladder. There is a handrail on one side only. The treads are very narrow as well due to the vertical angle. Once upstairs, headroom is extremely low. We are quite short in stature and still hit our heads. Anyone taller than 5’6” will need to bend over. The bed fills the space and must be crawled over to get in and out. There is a small shelf on the right side, but nothing on the left. Also, no headboard so difficult to read in bed. If you have to use the bathroom at night, it’s quite a production to get out of the bed and negotiate the steps without disturbing anyone. That said, everything else was perfect.
This cabin was perfect
Charlotte was a wonderful host, very responsive, and helpful with suggestions on things to do. The cabin felt like home, it was beautifully and simply decorated. Every detail was so thoughtful - the kitchen included everything from a well stocked spice rack to a Brita water filter to extra water bottles to hike with. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the extra fan upstairs in the loft helped keep it cool. And last the location was perfect - right in between Jackson and Teton village. We had an amazing stay here!
super cool "loft"
lovely views of aspen grove from balcony
fine, quiet location..proximity to "everything"
balcony needed a bit of a spiffing up...gretchen dismayed at that news, ...and quickly responded to questions re workings of shower and tv/cable stuff.
most gracious hostess
We will definitely come back - property is in the perfect location and very beautiful inside. Truly has everything one can want or need. Charlotte was very communicative and flexible.
Great Stay, Awesome Adventures
My husband and I came here for our 20th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed every minute of it. This place is beautifully located for easy access to Teton Village and Jackson. It was very clean and quiet. (After a day of rafting, shopping or hiking, the quiet was wonderful) The bed was comfy and made for a great nights rest. I liked being able to do laundry right there. We give this property a big thumbs up.
Nice condo in lovely area
Stayed at this condo for a week over Memorial Day weekend.
Upon arrival unit was clean, well kept, and stocked with everything we needed.
The location was wonderful as we came from out of state to visit Grand Teton NP and condo is about 15 minutes from the Moose-Wilson gate which is open this time of year. It's also an easy 15-20 minute drive into the town of Jackson. Watch for moose on the side of the road near the condo at all times!
Charlotte was responsive to the couple of questions we had.
It would have been nice to have a screen on each window. As the temperature rose to just 65 degrees outside, the second floor condo and the loft bedroom upstairs got quite warm. Even with fans going, it would have been nice to open all windows but a couple did not have screens.
Took off a star for the bed and sheets. The bed was very firm for us, almost like sleeping on a wood plank after hiking for 5-6 hours each day and we woke up very stiff. Also the pillows were old with stains and were quite flat. The sheets on the master bed seemed worn also and were very thin. Additionally, having a better window covering above the king bed that blocks out more daylight would have been preferred for us. We awoke to the sunlight almost every morning around 6:45am thinking it was later! If you're a light sleeper, bring an eye mask!
Lastly, some of the fry pans and baking sheets we reached for in the cupboards were greasy, as if they were put away previously without having been cleaned properly.
All in all, it's a great option, for a party of 3 or less, fantastic location. But I don't think we would stay again only because of the uncomfortable bed situation.
I'm so sorry your stay was not exceptional, and I wish you would have mentioned these items so that we could have helped make you more comfortable. There are 5 windows with screens, and 2 of these 5 were being repaired during your stay before the busy summer season. They have been reinstalled, and there are once again screens on all of the windows. Hundreds of other guests have loved this mattress, but we have noted your feedback and have already swapped it out for a slightly softer one. There are half a dozen sets of new sheets and pillows (thick, medium, and thin) in the condo, and we would have happily had the cleaners switch them out to your preference. I've also let the cleaners know that they missed a pan in the cupboard. They are very diligent and always triple check things in the cupboard that previous renters have put away as clean, so they were very apologetic that you found a pan that wasn't spotless. Once again, I wish these concerns had been mentioned during your stay so we could have made it up to you, and I have made immediate changes thanks to your feedback. Thank you once again for staying with us!
Only a short half mile walk to the grocery store/deli, gym, restaurants, coffee shop, bank, UPS store, yoga shala, salon, liquor store, etc. Two tennis courts are free to use in the front yard, and the golf and XC ski center is 1 mile away. A playground is a quarter mile away. We are 5 miles from Grand Teton National Park, and 2 miles from the nearest Snake River access.
