About Tom Dadian

I have been involved in real estate all of my life and enjoy it immensely when I find a property that is just too good to pass up. This is that property

Tom Dadian purchased this house in 2014

Why Tom Dadian chose Pecos

The Spanish Conquistadors came to this area in 1680. This property and that of the whole valley where the land is situated was 'Land Granted' to one Conquistador; the direct descendant of the lady who designed and built this house, Evelyn Espinoza Varela. The land was given to Evelyn by her Grandfather a decedent of the Conquistadors who came here in 1680. Evelyn spent many weeks coming to her land, contemplating the design, making sure it correctly represented her roots. Finally in 2001 she set forth to build her dream house, an authentic Southwestern design. Evelyn, accomplished her goal and then some.

That is one of the reasons why we like this southwestern abode, you can feel the presence.

Yet, it is modern, another plus for those of us who have been spoiled with all the conveniences.

What makes this house unique

1. Fantastic location right on the Pecos River

2. In this Sangria De Christie Mountain but with all the amenities

3. Close to the historic city of Santa Fe; 20-25 minutes

4. Cultural activities abound

5. I feel more a tuned to nature out here. The pure blue sky with the puffy clouds, the Pecos River with the sound of the water rushing over the rocks; how peaceful that sound is.

6. The people living n this village are peaceful fun loving individuals that have a respect for the wonderful nature around them.

7. Driving up highway 63 to the end of the road leads you past magnificent camp grounds that offer horse back riding in over 200,000 acres, hiking trails of all levels, fishing, hunting, trapping, etc,

8. Skiing of all types is just a short distance away.

9. I could go on but suffice it to say that there is something for everyone in this glorious country

Wonderful place to stay - highly recommended

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful, unique, and charming home located right off the Pecos River. Well provisioned with everything we needed for a very comfortable 10 day stay. The house is loaded with many well thought out touches both practical and aesthetically pleasing. Easy access to hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, and still just a short drive into Santa Fe. Or just spend some time relaxing on the deck by the river. Nothing but great things to say about our stay here. Leaving came too soon.

Respite in Pecos

  • 4 of 5

The property is well maintained overall. We found the inside décor charming and clean. There is wifi and direct tv as well as Netflix so that was much appreciated. The outside grounds were a little wild. No plants outside like in the picture and the grass area largely overgrown. But the access to the Pecos was great and the little deck area was as described. We had to clean the barbecue before using but it worked well.

There are a few things Tom can't control like the barking neighbor dogs in the middle

of the night, every night; but closed the windows and just missed the fresh air. The casa is well built as that solved the noise problem.

The house is well situated near Santa Fe and the national forest when open. We were just unfortunate enough to have most of the national and state forests close right before we arrived due to fire danger concerns. Again, not under Tom's control! Tom was always available and responded quickly to any questions we had. All in all, a very good experience! We would definitely rent from Tom again.

Owner's Response: Hi Russel, Thank you for your review. I had just re-seeded the lawn and wanted it to grow tall before mowing it; I mowed right after you left for home. Also, it was unfortunate that New Mexico is currently experiencing a drought, therefore very hot weather . In spite of all that you managed to enjoy yourself. If you decide to rent our place again, I will give you a discount to try to make up for the bad weather that you experienced this time. The drought has caused many problems; I have never experienced weather this hot in Pecos. I am sure the weather situation will return to normal when the drought subsides. Thank you for you business. Extraordinary and comfortable home for four people

  • 5 of 5

The house is located 25 min from Santa Fe in a small village in the forest, very clean and comfortable, everything wrote by Tom about the place is true. If you want to stay in a quiet neighborhood, next to the river this is it.

Most Relaxing Time Ever !!!

  • 5 of 5

This casita was so clean, cute and very cozy. The home had everything you'll ever need when you away from your home. The Dollar General Store In Pecos has so much, in case you need to run and and grab something. The river was so beautiful, and the trees were changing colors. We took so many pics and videos. Tom was great he was very quick to respond when ever we had a questions. Thanks for an wonderful stay, we will be back. Patty F
