Molly and her calf, and the red fox were just the "frosting on the cake." Beautiful accommodations and ambiance for being in nature with an easy and scenic drive to/from the Park. I loved sitting by the campfire at night and eating S'mores too! Karen

Couldn't have been better:)

  • 5 of 5

We totally enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cabin. It was cozy and perfectly fit our needs. We got an early snow and it was great to come home and sit by the fireplace and talk about the adventures of the day. When it was too snowy to ride our horses then there was plenty of other things close by for us to do. Thanks again for the hospitality!!! Shawna was a pleasure to work with!!

Family vacation to Yellowstone.

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed at Aspen Inn, just recently, and we were more than pleased with our accommodations. There was more than enough room for 8 adults. The cabin was clean and very cozy. The showers were hot and the beds were comfortable. We're thinking about coming back to revisit Yellowstone next year, and if we do, I will definitely be reaching out to Shawna.

Thank you for such a wonderful stay! Hopefully, we will be back next year!

Great cabin, terrible check out process

  • 3 of 5

We stayed here with our 4 kids. The home is clean, beautifully decorated and spacious-we had lots of room to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked but could benefit from a new frying pan or two. It has a pretty deck but nothing to sit on to enjoy it. I'd recommend some deck chairs or a table to eat outdoors. It has a hot tub but we never used it as the bulk of our time we spent in Yellowstone which was about 20 minutes away. The kids loved having the ping pong table to play on. We did miss having wifi as we couldn't access our Netflix account to watch a movie the one night we stayed in. Shawna was quick to respond during the reservation process. My only complaint with this house is the check out process. I'm fine with taking out the garbage when we leave a house, but we had to take it to the dump (on my lap bc our car was full of our suitcases) which was 15 min away from the direction we were driving. There is the option to leave it and for an additional $25 have it removed for us, but we were trying to save money where we can. That should be included in the cost of the house. My other complaint is having to wash the towels (which could also use updating) prior to leaving. It meant getting up earlier in the am if we wanted to shower before leaving to accommodate the time of the washer and dryer. I found this very inconvienient esp as we're paying for a cleaning service included in the cost of the house. The lower star rating for the house is really only due to these complaints and not the house itself, which is lovely.

Owner's Response: I am so glad you enjoyed the cabin! It is a beautiful place with all the amenities of home! We take all of our guests suggestions quite seriously and I couldn't agree with you more! After seriously inspecting the towels - they do need to be updated! Unfortunately though we do still have to require that our guests do their towels before departure. We don't have the luxury of the big hotels where we have rooms of towels. We have a small window to turn the cabin around for the next guests coming in. That window is taken up by ensuring that the bed linens are completely laundered and the cabin is completely cleaned and restocked. We couldn't agree more about the garbage disposal. We are currently looking into garbage services and the timeliness of their trash pickup and costs involved. We hope that by next season that our guests won't have to take care of this task on the day of their departure, but are still waiting to see if the company actually takes on the Island Park area. Thank you so much for staying with us and I am so glad you enjoyed yourselves!

Lovely vacation home

  • 4 of 5

Seven of us (all adults) stayed four nights at the Aspen Inn. We used the house as home base for Yellowstone and eclipse viewing at Targhee Ski Resort. We cooked a lot and appreciated the well equipped kitchen (although the knives desperately need a sharpening - maybe get a sharpener?) Grill was great. We enjoyed the firepit and the ping pong table. Perfect number of rooms and bathrooms for us. Carrying out the garbage and recyclables was new to us, but it is bear country, after all. After searching for days for a place to recycle our glass, we finally gave up. Maybe put the fact that there is no glass recycling available in the state on the info sheet re: the refuse dump. That would have saved us some effort. Overall, terrific place.

Aspen Inn exceeded our expectations

  • 5 of 5

The Aspen Inn exceeded our expectations. We had 6 adults and 2 young adults in our group and there was plenty of room for all of us. The 2 young adults enjoyed the upstairs with the pool/ping pong table. The cabin was very clean and well-maintained and the furnishings and decorations were beautiful. We enjoyed seeing a moose and her calf and a fox right outside our cabin door. We highly recommend this cabin.
