Beach House, 3 Bedrooms, Sleeps 6, WiFi, Gulf Front Cottage

Bedrooms 3
Property type house
Minimum Stay 1 - 7 nights

About the property

3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 6

Talk about your perfect beachfront property! The 3-bedroom Beach House stands literally on the white sands of Fort Myers Beach, mere yards from the serene Gulf of Mexico. In fact, beneath the balcony and deck is your own private patch of beach for entertaining, complete with a portable bar and barstools, lounge chairs, a gas grill, and a sun umbrella. Swim in the gulf, build castles in the sand, relax in the sun, and cool off in the shade--all within steps of the house!

As idyllic as the location is, that’s not the only appealing feature of Beach House. The home itself offers everything you want from a Florida getaway. There’s a glorious deck furnished with a table and chairs for alfresco dining--the salt-tinged breeze makes any meal taste better--where you can watch dolphins and manatees frolic in the gulf.

The adjacent enclosed balcony offers the same outstanding view. Furnished with comfortable seating and a ceiling fan, it’s a fabulous place to escape the midday heat without losing sight of the palm trees swaying in the breeze and the sun sparkling on the waves.

You can also gaze out at the gulf from the airy living room. Its palette of blue, beige, and white mimics the view from the sliding glass doors--and its tiled floor will feel so wonderfully cool underfoot when you return from the beach. There’s plenty of space for the whole family to kick back and watch a movie on the flat-screen TV with DVD player. And if you have an extra guest or 2 the big sofa and smaller sofa each have 2 built-in recliners.

Even the indoor dining room offers spectacular gulf views. The table is large enough to seat at least 6 people with more than enough elbow room. There’s also a breakfast bar on the other side of the kitchen with 4 stools. Not only is this a great area to take advantage of the high-speed web access, but you can also serve the kids dinner here if you want to enjoy a quiet grownups-only meal in the dining room.

The kitchen is loaded with everything you need whether you’re planning a holiday feast or simply want to heat the leftover pizza in the microwave. Appliances, cookware, prep tools, tableware--you name it, the kitchen has it. That includes a dishwasher, because why scrub plates when the beach is your backyard?

Likewise, Beach House includes its own washer and dryer. Pack light. You can always run a load of laundry while you’re parasailing or racing jet skis.

Nor do you have to weigh down your luggage with bed and bath linens! We’ve got plenty, and they’ll be freshly laundered and waiting for you.

Given how active you’re sure to be during the day--swimming, kayaking, beachcombing, biking--you’ll need a great night’s sleep. Beach House’s 3 bedrooms make that a cinch. The master bedroom, which has an en-suite bath, is furnished with a king-size bed and a TV. Each of the remaining 2 bedrooms, which share the 2nd bathroom, has 2 twin beds.

While you could easily (and happily!) spend your entire vacation without straying more than a few yards from the house, there’s plenty to do nearby should you ever tire of the beach. Just a few miles south is Lovers Key State Park, where you can hike along wetland trails, bike among mangroves, and canoe and kayak along estuaries. And only a few miles north is the island’s Times Square area, jumping with outdoor eateries, shops, bars, and street performers. Don’t want to drive? Hop on the trolley that runs the length of the island--it’s just a few blocks away.

If easy beach access and stunning views are your top priorities when choosing a vacation spot, Beach House is exactly what you’re looking for. But you’d better reserve your stay today before someone else does!

Excellent Beachfront at fair price

  • 5 of 5

Nice location right on the beach. Price is reasonable - in line with the amenities available with the house.

Good location, good value

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I along with our 3 adult children stayed here December 23 - 30, 2017. The house is in a nice, quiet location on Fort Myers Beach. There was plenty of space for 6 adults (we only had 5 adults during our stay though) and the house has a great layout to see the views of the beach, water and beautiful sunsets. There is enough yard space to set up the lounge chairs without going onto the beach, however a few more steps and we were right on the beach if we wanted to be closer to the water. We bought groceries the first day we arrived (Publix is 3 blocks away) and never had any reason to leave for the entire week, although we decided to go out for dinner two of the evenings.

The kitchen, as well as the entire house, is very well stocked with everything you need, including a gas grill, margarita machine, dishwasher and washer and dryer, to mention a few. Having the washer and dryer to use was great to do our laundry as we needed to during our stay. In addition, there is one bath towel, one wash cloth and one hand towel provided for each guest, so having the washer and dryer was a plus for that reason too. The owner has available a couple of board games, various books to read, lounge chairs and an umbrella for the beach, beach towels, sand toys to build sand castles, a net to search for shells, frisbees and other beach toys to use. There is a TV in the living room, master bedroom and one of the other bedrooms, however we did not have any reason to have the TVs on during our stay. Each morning there were many shells on the beach and dolphins to watch that swam by very close to the shore. When it was low tide, we could walk quite a ways out into the water to search for shells too. Not far from the house to the south was a business that we would recommend, Mid Island Water Sports, that we rented wave runners from (parasailing and dolphin tours are available as well) one of the days.

Given the location and direct beach access, I would have given 5 stars, however the house is showing some age; cracked tiles, etc. The screens are missing in the porch area and the deck is really weathered, dry, cracked and splintered. Be careful if you walk across it barefoot as a few of our family members got splinters.

Overall - the house is showing a little age and use, however, for the location, price and beautiful views - it's a pretty good deal. We had a great relaxing family vacation and would definitely come back and stay at this house again.

Great location on the beach! Wake up to an awesome view of the ocean!

  • 4 of 5

This property is all about location, location, location! Your backyard is the beach! Great views of the ocean from the kitchen, dining room, living room, and the porch. Most of the time, during the day, we kept the doors open to enjoy the breeze from the ocean! Only turned on the A/C at night. We met the owner on the day of arrival - he was there to make sure everything was okay with the house - he was very nice and accommodating! The house is clean and spacious. Kitchen is equipped with all you need. Bathrooms are clean, beds were comfortable. However (yes, sadly there is a 'however'), the house does need some repairs - like cracked tiles in the kitchen, cracked tiles in the master bedroom, loose planks by the entry door, railing on the balcony, dents in the wall behind the sofa, wicker chair in the covered porch. We also discovered that the oven had not been cleaned when we arrived and neither was the grill on the balcony. These items though did not prevent us from enjoying our stay. The property is managed by Vacation Rental Pros who made note of these issues when we reported to them - though we forgot to mention the dirty grill to them...ah, well we didn't really use it. They sent in someone from housekeeping right away to clean the oven. They sent someone to fix the loose deck planks by the entry door. They also brought in a huge rug to put over the broken tiles in the master bedroom because the tiles were loose and presented a safety hazard and promised to get them fixed once we left. Hopefully, all that was done after our departure.

While we were there, we braved the tropical storm Emily! It was extremely windy, rainy, and scary, but the house held, and we felt very safe inside.

We would definitely recommend this property for a family and/or couples vacation. It is close to everything, but secluded enough to enjoy a quiet and private time on the beach. Initially we were going to rent a property in Bonita Springs which has an upstairs and downstairs rented out separately and we would have had to share the house with other people. We opted for this property because you don't have to share it with other people! It is all yours to enjoy :)

Cute, clean, guest friendly. We had a wonderful time.

  • 4 of 5

The house is small but laid out very nicely. Plenty of room for 6 people and the views from inside are beautiful. The owners have made it guest friendly by adding books, puzzles, a margaretta machine and a radio with speakers outside among other things. I would have given 5 stars but the outside deck does need work, loose boards, nails and splinters so we did not spend much time there. If the deck were replaced we would positively be back.
