FOR THE PRICE - IT WAS OK
The initial shock was that the apartment was not as ads indicated in that is was at the back overlooking the road, we were expecting the front overlooking the beach. No mention of this was indicated in booking process. We are an oldish couple in our seventies and as such not as active as some. Because of this the apartment to be quite frank was not entirely suitable for the following reasons. The toilet is on the ground floor (no sink to wash one's hands) but the shower and bathroom sink was upstairs in the mezzanine. The stairs to the upper level were steep and certainly the deadrise and width of each step would not pass any current building regulations. As such we had to be very careful each time we acended/desended. So we survived. But note for tall people the headroom up stairs in limited and as such at 6 foot I banged my head a few times. However, we got over it all and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Michael De Rourk our letting agent was very helpful and kind although he forgot to tell us that one should not park in the free car park on Sunday nights as the next day is market day and as such ones car, if left gets towed away as we discovered to out cost ! Michael however, very kindly gave me a lift to Le Lavandou so I could get it back.
In the announcement, it has never stipulated that the duplex was sea view. It is clearly stated that the building is located on the beach of CAVALIÈRE (feet in the water) with a direct and private of the duplex to the sea and beach access (see photos). If duplex was located on the sea side (sea view), the price is not at all the same. Despite this misinterpretation, the tenant confirms that the price was right for the type of housing that he held.
The kitchen sink is located just next to the toilet!
The municipality has clearly indicated by different signs in French, German and English placed and fixed on the car park to move your car at last for Monday morning 4 AM. for the Provencal market on Monday morning, otherwise it will be removed. Each tenant is personally wanted on his arrival by the lessor.
Studio idéalement placé !
Nous avons passés un très bon séjour dans le studio. Bien qu'il soit idéalement placé, proche de toute commodité (supérette, boulangeries, bar/restauration) sur le bord de plage de Cavalière.
L'accès en direct sur la plage depuis le bâtiment est très appréciable.
Nous recommandons ce studio pour des vacances pieds dans l'eau !
