Lakeside home away from home
The home was located across from Lake Okanagan and an easy walk to the city center. The location was a good base for exploring the Okanagan Valley and the many wineries in the area. The condo was very clean and well furnished with good open spaces for socializing. Property manager and owners were very helpful with suggestions for local activities and restaurants. Would definitely rent again if we were to come back to Penticton.
Mid-September in Penticton
This property is very well maintained and conveniently located - walking distance to the Saturday farmer's market, restaurants, etc. It was surprisingly not very noisy despite being right on Lakeshore Drive. It's not completely clear from the posting that this unit is in the back of the house. That said, there are two 'living room' spaces and one has a lake view. The quality of the furnishings is excellent. There is a nice outdoor table/chairs and a BBQ in a space that is separated from the parking. Lots of California quail walking around as there is a little park two properties away. The only minor criticism is that the bedrooms are quite small for queen beds.
Amazing location across the street from the beach, back provided shade from long days on intense heat! Wonderful to sit out at night ~ private. Even with proximity to beach and 'main drag' it was very quiet! Despite the heat the unit keeps pleasantly cool. Awesome for access to swim, bike and run the best spots! Everything was super clean, extra items in bathrooms and kitchen made it so easy to just start enjoying. The manager was responsive and friendly. Only problem was not being able to stay longer! Thank you!
Our family picked this spot for a family vacation. The property was in a perfect location with great decor and very comfortable. Hopefully we can return to enjoy again. We had a wonderful time.
We shared this house with another couple for our son’s playoffs. It was the perfect setup and location for us.
The place is very clean and comfortable. The owners (and Jim) were great to deal with. We will definitely rent this unit again.
Lake Okanagan (20 feet) - walk up early and go for an early morning swim or jog.
River Channel (10 mins walk) - our kids' favorite activity, best way to spend 2 hours just chilling on the channel.
Penticton Lakeside Resort & Casino (2 mins walk) - there is a great restaurant, Hooded Morganzer, on the lake outside the hotel.
Penticton Farmer's Market and downtown (3 mins walk)-pick-up fresh local produce every Sat from May to October. Go for lunch at Theo's (on Main St) or peruse through The Bookshop (new and used books, also on Main St).
Naramata Winery region and KVR trail (5 mins drive) - go for a bike, jog or hike on the KVR trail and reward yourself with a nice coffee and treat at our favorite artisan bakery and coffee spot, The Bench Market (on Vancouver Ave).
Penticton Convention Centre / Community Centre (5 mins drive)- go swimming or use the fitness centre year round.
