Nearby Metro/subway called SEPTA makes attending baseball or football games so easy, no parking nightmares. Also the Septa will take you to all nearby universities-Temple, U of Penn, and anywhere in the city. Many buses and taxis very convenient.

The location, the loft, the amenities within the loft, the information left by the owners - terrific

  • 5 of 5

We are two grandparents, a mother and two teenage grandchildren. Everything exceeded our already high expectations. We want to come back. The loft accommodated us perfectly. The location is perfect for walking to the historical sites we wanted to take in. And easy for getting to other areas of fascinating Philadelphia. We enjoyed walking to local restaurants. Every morning the grandfather purchased pastries and bagels from a local bakery. Grocery shopping was just two blocks away. The Picasso loft. Wonderful and surprising, so I won't give away the surprise. And south facing, so warm sunshine during the day for our Thanksgiving 4 day stay. The kitchen is well stocked, and lots of cooking pots and dining dishes, glasses, bowls etc. Nice dining room table for eating and for board and card games. Superlatives. 5 stars from each of us

The Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

I am a very frequent traveler to Philadelphia as I live in New Jersey. I recently stayed at this place, and I cannot say enough good things about it. First off, you're in the perfect place for everything Philadelphia. Bar Hopping, more coffee shops than you can honestly try, and salsa dancing at Cuba Libre a block away. If you're into history, look no further because you're in old city with Betsy Ross House and Independence Hall literally around the corner. Foodie? Oh my god, the gnocchi at Fork restaurant....seriously...unbelievable.

And that's everything you could learn online, and in the welcome book. In addition the view, and space is a rare feature you won't find in the city too often, especially for the price.

The reason I decided to write a review is there are plenty of places to stay while in Philadelphia, but the reason to choose this place is the unbelievable hospitality from Stacey and her husband. Not only did she help me plan a surprise engagement for my NOW fiancee, but she gave me ideas as she knows the property well. Between Stacey and the cleaning manager, Renee, they picked up flowers, wine, champagne, and decorated the apartment to surprise my girlfriend upon arriving. I've used Homeaway and AirBnb numerous times in the past, but have never had as easy of time or a more accommodating host.

You owe it to yourself, your family, and your friends to come enjoy what Philadelphia has to offer, especially within walking distance of where you stay. But if you want to feel at home in a place with a spectacular host, this is by far the best place to be in the city. This place was beautiful, spacious, and serene and I can say I have absolutely no regrets about proposing within the loft and either does my fiancee :). I cannot wait to come back to this loft with more friends and family in the future, and I cannot thank Stacey and Renee enough for all they have done.

Plus there is an added bonus of saying you know there was an amazing proposal that happened in the loft you're staying at, so there's that too!

Great Location in Old Town Philly

  • 5 of 5

This property is as pictured. In addition to the great location for sightseeing, the owner was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed the loft, the suggested restaurants, and sights to see. We particularly appreciated not only having a list of restaurants, but the detailed information on each restaurant.
