Newly refurbished 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom contemporary cottage with sea views
About Kathryn Miller
The cottage is jointly owned by Kathryn, Neil and Ali, and has been in the Kennett-Brown family for over sixty years. It is a much loved and unique place, with many special memories. It is now being managed by the third generation. The cottage was totally rebuilt in 1995 by our parents (once we had found fresh water and got a bore hole installed!). Originally we collected rainwater and had a steriliser to make the water drinkable. We also had an electric meter that would run out at the worst of times so a store of candles was always recommended. Now, we don't have these challenges to contend with. Little Marsland has a unique combination of a fantastic location with modern, comfortable facilities. We have WiFi access with access to an adequate amount of data.. Please note that useage is capped. Why not use this holiday to have a "digital detox" or a more limited use of your devices?

What makes this Cottage unique
The views from the cottage to the sea and woods are lovely. There are so many great walks to discover (for both young and old) and amazing scenery to take in. Marsland valley is a very well kept nature reserve with beautiful woodland walks and paths leading to the coastal path. There is a lovely stream running between Marsland and Welcombe valley and nearby bridges to play poo-sticks from!, Whether you wish to be very active or take your holiday at a very slow pace, Little Marsland offers both these options to you. It is a true retreat. The cottage has a new kitchen/living room opening out onto a decking area with stunning views looking onto the garden. The fourth double bedroom is an additional room offering accommodation for 8 people.

The house is beautiful - spacious and well- planned, in a very pretty setting. The kitchen is very well-equipped. There is plenty of space for 6 adults, although an extra sofa in the lounge would help. We enjoyed simply relaxing here, watching the birds from the snug area of the dining room. It is remote, which suited us, but which people need to be aware of. I would suggest shopping before you arrive. A welcome box would be a pleasant addition. The coast path is easily reached and the almost private beach is rugged, wild and stunning. We walked both ways to pubs to eat and have the obligatory cream tea - when in Cornwall, you just have to! A wonderful relaxing holiday. Thank you.
Beautiful all round
What a lovely stay we had in this fabulous house: both well and tastefully equipped surrounded by a magical garden and beautiful woodland just off the coastal path. Light , airy , super relaxing and so peaceful yet within a short drive to wonderful beaches and attractions. Really superb.
Little Marsland is a truly beautiful home.
All the reviews I read prior to booking Little Marsland are accurate, a stunning design which contrasts the old with the new giving us a wonderful Christmas holiday. Absolute tranquility, falling asleep to the sound of the owls, and having breakfast looking out at the Woodpecker at work on the trees.
The house was clean and well maintained and very well equipped. Each day we were able to take a different walk, through the nature reserve or along the coast path, and the pub was only a walk away as well.
I would love to visit again and would definitely recommend to anyone who loves the outdoors and peace and quiet.
Wonderful setting and beautiful property
The house is welcoming and well equipped. Beautiful walks from the door and safe enclosed garden for the dog. Stunning scenery and excellent location. Tranquil and such a delight. Thank you
Absolutely charming cottage!
Lovely cottage in the middle of nowhere! Made it the perfect escape for 3 busy families coming together for a week! The cottage is a great size so you don't feel on top of each other and the kitchen is an amazing sociable space for all! You need to drive to get anywhere but so many great spots to visit and spend the day. Overall fantastic time away from reality and would return!
A place in which to relax & unwind.
We had stayed in the property 10 years ago so we knew what to expect. However the extension has greatly improved the property. It now comfortably sleeps 8 and has a kitchen dinning room that could feed 12 if the need occurs. The kitchen is fully equipped - hob, double oven, microwave, dish washer, washing m/c & dryer. Access for the uninitiated is down a steep track to the property where there is parking for 2 vehicles. We had no difficulty turning around there and driving back up the track.
The property was clean on arrival and we appreciated that the cleaner would come after our departure, especially since it was raining heavily.
We would recommend this property to any of our friends or relations who wanted to get away from a hectic life and relax in a tranquil location.

You are well located to visit beaches and towns near Wadebridge and Padstow which also offer very good restaurants and amenities.
The Eden Project is also a very good day trip to consider from Little Marsland.
