About this property

Waterfront Suite With Kitchen On 12-acre Hobbyfarm; B&B Rooms Avail, Too.

Ready to experience the 'ahh...'? Looking for some outdoor adventure?

We were named among the "Top 25 B&Bs/Inns in Canada" by TripAdvisor in 2020 among many other awards.

Two Eagles Lodge, a WATERRONT, award-winning b&b and vacation rental , is centrally located on the east coast of Vancouver Island so day-tripping is a breeze.

Our 850-square foot vacation rental/suite offers a private entrance and all the comforts of home...Plus a private balcony overlooking the property with an incredible view of the water, adjacent island, and distant mountains.

The suite has an open floor plan (no separate bedrooms) with two queen beds, a seating area (including a double pull-out), dining table and chairs, and full kitchen...Plus a large bath. We prefer to only have teens or children stay on the pull-out sofa or couch, so everyone gets a good sleep.

During the months of July-September (when the B&B rooms below the suite are usually booked by older couples who are disturbed by the noise kids make in the upstairs suite), we can no longer accept families with multiple children under the age of 8; a single child is no problem.

If you book the entire B&B wing (two regular B&B rooms and the suite) for a personal event--a wedding or reunion--we can be totally kid-friendly any time of the year.

Extended stay discounts are available for guests staying two or more weeks Oct-June. Breakfast is optional for a nominal fee; ask for details.

We also have regular b&b rooms that offer private entrances/baths, 24/7 access to a guest kitchenette and guest lounge (with an electric fireplace).

All guests can use the bbq, guest lounge, or outdoor seating areas... Or, maybe you want to visit with the horses or soak in the hot tub. The choice is yours...And the view is amazing no matter where you are at Two Eagles.

We welcome the chance to be your island ambassadors--helping you to make your stay everything you want it to be...A relaxing getaway, a family adventure trip, or even the location for a destination wedding.

We can recommend everything from restaurants to scuba shops and fossil hunters...Just ask.

Two Eagles Lodge is truly the place where new friends and great memories are made in paradise!

About the host

Host profile image
Greetings from Steve & Carolyn! We are proud to say we designed and built Two Eagles Lodge, an award-winning B&B/vacation rental, in 2007 as part of our immigration agreement with Canada. We fell in love with the island while visiting Vancouver for business in 2004. We are originally from Maryland, but are now happy to call Vancouver Island home. Loving outdoor activities, we ski, ride horses, boat, kayak, hike, Jeep the backroads, dive, and snowshoe. We also love to entertain. We feel we found paradise and love our role as owners of the B&B/vacation rental so we can share our love of the area and our local's perspective with our guests. Our black lab, Cosmo, looks forward to meeting you, too.

Why they chose this property

The island water and mountains are right here. Our central location makes it possible to day-trip from Two Eagles, so you can unpack and enjoy a home-base that is comfortably appointed and offers total privacy. Roam the property, play horseshoes in the carrots to the horses, or just sit your balcony and sip your coffee or wine while you soak up the view or read your favorite book. End your day with a relaxing soak in the hot tub.

We are just 10 minutes to Courtenay, the main 'town' where there are major stores and all the conveniences and services you would need.

What makes this property unique

Our 'unique benefits' include: an amazing view that locals have said is the 'best in the valley'; our built-for-purpose design with private entrances and baths, a lounge and kitchenette, and lots of outdoor space offers all the comforts of home where you decide how much socializing you want to do; our laid-back attitudes seem to make guests feel comfortable right away; and our true passion for sharing what we have discovered in this 'Canadian riviera' helps guests maximize their stay here--with minimal 'trial and error' that can waste precious vacation time.
