About Mike and Stephanie Cowen

Michael and Stephanie Cowen started constructing this well crafted home in fall of 2014 and finished in spring of 2015. We are excited to share what we love about Williams Arizona and all that it has to offer from the majestic sunsets to the endless possibilities of outdoor activities and adventures including; fishing, golfing, hiking, wildlife watching, skiing, Historic Route 66, the Grand Canyon and Bearizona to mention just a few. Michael has lived and owned several business in Williams for over 30 years and Stephanie is a native to Arizona and has lived in Northern Arizona for over 25 years. We both have extensive knowledge of the area and all that it has to offer. We hope you enjoy your stay in Williams.

Many of our guest enjoy visiting, shopping and eating in the many restaurants on Historic Route 66 in Downtown Williams, playing golf on Elephant Rocks Municipal Championship Golf Course, visiting Bearizona, a drive through wild animal park, riding the train or driving to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon (one of the 7 Wonders of the World) and within a short hour's drive visiting beautiful Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona or walking Walnut Canyon's Indian Ruins. Some of our guest come and return to our vacation home just to relax and spend their time in awe enjoying the home"s surrounding natural beauty and wildlife (including numerous species of birds and animals including eagles, cranes, hawks, Canadian geese, osprey, deer, elk to mention a few). Our home is lake front property to Cataract Lake that is stocked with trout, but also has catfish, bass and bluegill for the angler. A number of guests return during the holiday season bringing their children and grandchildren to ride the famous Polar Express on the Grand Canyon Railway which is only a five minute drive from our home.

Luxury is spot on !

This rental exceeded all our expectations and would recommend a stay to family and friends. Location is close to many sites; such as South Rim of Grand Canyon, Walnut Canyon, Sedona and others. Abundant wildlife and stargazing in the evening. Owners were very helpful and at our disposal if needed. Highly recommend this rental and would stay here again.

Great property, great location, too short of a stay

Mike and Stephanie were the warmest VRBO hosts we've encountered. We were all super appreciative when Stephanie told us to "not worry" about this and that..."you're on vacation!". The property is on a beautiful lake where we saw a bald eagle swooping to water and woke up every morning with deer in the backyard. Amazing.

From the property, we had no idea that Williams was the last town on Route 66 to be bypassed by the 40. It's a great small town with food to be found and is preserved to keep the old Route 66 culture alive, neon, classic cars, classic diners.

We spent a day at Grand Canyon, less than an hour away, one day at Sedona, about 1.5 hours, and a day in Flagstaff, 25 minutes away. I wish we had stayed an extra day as Mike had prepared fishing rods for the lake stocked with trout, bass and catfish.

Would highly recommend for family gatherings.

Beautiful memories

What's not to love??

Outstanding quality and attention to detail. You rarely find a rental home with a kitchen this well equipped. Comfortable beds and furniture throughout. Nice view of the lake and ducks, hawks, and deer were an added bonus. Peaceful setting but close to historic Williams so the location is perfect. Owners Stephanie and Mike were always quick to respond to any email questions and were delightful in person! We want to come back!
