About the property

Best in Riverside Lodging on the Yellowstone River Cozy Cabin with bedroom loft.

Montana, 'come for a week, stay for a lifetime'. From the time you walk through the front door of your cozy Montana cabin you will immediately feel at home. As you walk through the door, your eyes are immediately drawn to the river flowing just outside the large view windows which open up to a breathtaking view of the river and surrounding mountains.

The Kitchen is just to the right with all the amenities you will need for your stay. The bathroom is directly across from the kitchen with a shower/tub ensemble. The tub is jetted for those relaxing soaks at the end of a long day hiking. There is a stackable washer/ dryer set up for your convenience.

The living room is small but very comfortable with a queen size sofa sleeper and a comfortable oversized chair . There is a small dinning table for two/three and two barstools seated at the counter for additional seating. There is a wood burning stove for those chilly evenings or romantic firelight nights.

The master bedroom is an open loft with jawdropping views of the river and mountains below. The entire back side of the cabin that faces the river is large view windows allowing for that open to nature feeling.

While the Cabin is perfectly set up for couples and romantic getaways, it is just a comfortable for a small family, small group of fishermen, or two close knit couples.

Why Megan Truzinski and DeeDee Truzinski chose Livingston

We bought this property because we feel in love with the location. We actually reside on the 5 acre parcel in the log cabin just next to the Montana Fishing Cabin. While the homes are only separated by a short distance, the homes are set up perfectly for individual privacy.

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin is Montana perfect! Its small, but cozy with plenty of living space. The views are 'to die for', to quote a few of our guests. There is an outdoor firepit, picnic table and a large deck with two lounge chairs and two chairs with a table for outside dinning.

Quintessential log cabin on the Yellowstone River with amazing views.

  • 5 of 5

To be clear it’s worth noting that it had snowed 2 days before our arrival in late September. The result being snow on the mountains and on the ground in some parts of YSNP, beautiful!

The cabin is right on the Yellowstone River. Sitting in the cabin or on the deck you look across the river, neighboring farms, visiting deer and osprey to the Absaroka Mountains and Emigrant Peak topped with snow while watching the fly-fishing boats and paddle boarders float by. Its not called Paradise Valley by accident.

The cabin was perfect for the 2 of us. DeeDee and Megan are very through and thoughtful in providing for their guests. Staring with welcoming pastries and orange juice. The refrigerator and cupboards are well stocked with basics and the kitchen is like wise well equipped with necessary equipment. There is even a washer and dryer. Plenty of firewood and extra blankets, maps, cooler, broachers and recommendations, even bear spray for hiking upon request (yes we did see a bear in YSNP).

During our stay we did a couple of hikes to local waterfalls. Went to YSNP for a day (great time of year as crowds are down but wild life still roaming around). Did a guided float of the river, hung out at the Wildflour Bakery and had dinner at the Yellowstone Valley Grill. We also spent 2 days vegetating on the deck enjoying the views.

A perfect week … just a little short.

Wonderful, lovely cabin

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had an amazing stay at this cabin. It's both spacious and cozy, and has everything you need whether you're actively out and about or looking for some relaxing down time. The riverfront location is gorgeous, and the hosts are friendly and helpful. Access to various fishing spots is incredibly convenient, and you're about a 15 minute drive from Livingston if you want to head into town. Yellowstone is about 45 minutes away, through some incredibly gorgeous country that is full of hiking and fishing opportunities as well.

Beautiful spot in Paradise Valley

  • 5 of 5

I hosted a larger party at a close by property and we used the Fishing Cabin as additional accommodation. What a gem of a little place. Absolutely gorgeous. The owners communication was excellent and all was exactly as described but better. The back garden is a magical place you don't want to leave. Highly recommend!

Cozy cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our time away at this lovely, cozy cabin. Wonderful wildlife viewing, and right on the river . . . and stars, oh my, the stars. Thanks for making this perfect-for-us cabin available.

Tranquil and relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

Lovely extra touches that are in the cabin made us feel extra special. It is quiet and comfortable (especially the bed) and had everything we may have needed and more. The brownies were a treat when we arrived and being able to wash some clothes before we moved on to our next destination was a bonus. Very private and tranquil! Would stay again in a heart beat! Thanks!

The cabin is just 20 minutes from Chico Hot Springs which has live music, a coffee shop, gift shop, dog sledding, horseback riding, white water rafting and scenic float tours. Paradise Valley's greatest asset is the Yellowstone River which boast some of the best fishing in the world. There are many outfitters that can take you on half day to full day fly fishing floats. Hiking is huge in Paradise Valley with several hikes ranging from easy to difficult.
