About Ray Smith
I am a CPA and church organist who lives in Overland Park, Kansas, part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. I grew up and went to college in Missouri, and have also lived in Florida and West Virginia. There is nothing more relaxing for me then spending time with friends and family enjoying Beaver Lake. This is my only rental property so I strive to provide exceptional service and am always just a phone call away. I take to heart any suggestions I receive, and am continually updating items in the home so that future guests can have an exceptional experience.
Ray Smith purchased this House in 2009
Why Ray Smith chose Garfield
Beaver Lake is crystal clear. On a calm day, you can see 20+ feet down into the water. The lake is 28,000 acres and there are huge areas for boating, not just a bunch of narrow channels. During the week, I can be out on the lake and rarely see another boat. I especially enjoy sitting on my dock and reading a good book.
What makes this House unique
The views don't get any better than from my home no matter which room you happen to be in. It is also an easy walk down to the water...if you want to park on the street and avoid walking up and down the driveway! I owned another house on Beaver Lake previously and the two things that were missing were views and easy lake access, so I made sure to correct that when I purchased this home.

Ray was great to deal with!
We had a great stay over Christmas. View was amazing!
Great place for large group.
Owner was right back to us immediately if we needed anything. Wonderful place.
Stunning views and beautiful, spacious cabin
Spent a wonderful long weekend at Beaver Point Lodge! We are a group of four longtime friends who met in college at the U of A. We get together once a year, and this year we really wanted to stay in Northwest Arkansas and attend a football game. Beaver Point Lodge was perfect for us — plenty of space, well appointed and cozy! It was convenient to Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, Bentonville and Eureka Springs. The views of the lake were amazing, and the cabin had everything we needed. Owner provided detailed information and tips and was very accommodating and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (with exception of the Razorback loss 😢). Note: the driveway is very steep and was intimidating at first. However, there is plenty of room to park and unload just outside the front door — and totally worth it for the view from the cabin! After we drove up and down it the first time, it really wasn’t a problem at all. We hated to leave and definitely hope to return in the future.
Fall Break 2019
The house was good for all 13 people staying and the pool table definitely got a workout!
The kitchen was to die for, if you like a big kitchen (and we do).
There are a couple things to note:
1. There is extremely limited grass so if you have a picky pet, be prepared to walk them.
2. When the owner says the driveway is steep, translate that to almost vertical.
3. If you are the least bit unsteady, do not try to go down to the boat dock. The railing is super skimpy and wobbly so it’s there for looks and not functionality.
Overall, it was a big win for our group!
This lake home is in a rural area which means great views and lots of privacy. Most guests say they never leave except to enjoy the water. There are a few places to eat within 15 minutes of the house and a small grocery store. The Rogers/Bentonville area is 30 minutes away and is home to the new Crystal Bridges Museum of Modern Art and a fantastic shopping area. Eureka Springs, known for its Victorian charm, is 45 minutes away. Fayetteville, home to the University of Arkansas, is 45 minutes away. Pea Ridge National Military Park is 15 minutes away.
