Comfortable living close to all of Victoria Falls activities
A very large and nice house situated within walking distance to the main shopping and dining areas of Victoria Falls. The house is a little dated with minor issues but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff makes up for any inconvenience. The 8 adults plus infant that stayed here thoroughly enjoyed ourselves by having the feeling of coming home after an day's outing of activities. Very comfortable to relax here and it was quiet and safe, although we did hear and see the elephants walking nearby as they searched for the morning snack. The onsite manager, Sabeena, was great to work with and very helpful in arranging our outings and even staying with us for part of a day to assist. I would recommend staying here if you have a large group where you all want to relax together at the end of the day and also have a quiet area to recuperate after a full day's worth of activities.

Property was very clean and spacious, however wifi was really spotty and the pool was green
The property was nice, had so much room and the owners were pretty responsive. Our only issues were with the fact that the pool was green and the wifi didn't work about 80% of the time.

all to feel good
Thank you to Jeannette Lindstom and Gary to make us feel at home and to help us to enjoy the place and fing a solution to any problem we could find as booking a transfert to Boma restorant or reaching the Zambia border for Microlight flights or going to the crocodile farm. Relaxing in the pool is a good way after adrenalin activities. We were a family of four and 5 adults, friends for so long and it was a pleasure not to be in a restaurant at every lunch and dinner. we were three nights there and it was nice to have the breakfast all together and to plan everything and not to be in a hurry And to have a return transfert to the airport specially customised, with a stop to the supermarket to shop a little. Owner is a well known safari legend who still travels to Tanzania, Namibia, Zambia, Botswana and South Africa with friends and clients over the past 40 years.
He grew up in Kenya and worked and became a director of the Kerr and Downey Safari company, and then trans-located to northern Botswana to start his own safari business. A Very shy and quiet man who loves nature and has varied interests. He loves to collect sculptures, bronzes and artwork from artists around Africa.
He feels that the house needs people to be in it and as he still travels on safari the house often is empty for months on end.

Why they chose this property

This house borders on the National Park where there are many passing elephant on a daily basis. It has a comfortable size pool and the gardens 2 acres - big and rolling.
When the falls are in flood the spray from them - come down to the house in a fine spray - keeping the garden moist and watered. The house has a quiet and healing atmosphere to it.
Each room has its own veranda to relax and contemplate how the day has gone - or gather around the pub - and share and compare the day's activities.

What makes this property unique

Sirlson House is a home - furnished for comfort and space of 430 square metres. Plenty of space with three lounges to spread yourself and your family/friends around. The home backs onto the national park - so often elephants walk past and many times we see buffalo at the back gate. Warthog are often grazing on the front lawn and all animals live peacefully with the residents of Victoria Falls.
