About this property

Comfortable and cozy mountain cabin in the treetops! Only 15 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge and about 20 minutes to the Toccoa river or downtown Ellijay! Recent renovation including new granite counters in the kitchen & bathrooms, a new top-grain leather sofa & loveseat for the family room, and a new king size bed in the master bedroom!

From the covered back porch, you will feel like you're in a treehouse! Enjoy the relaxing hot tub, a 3-person swing, rocking chairs and beautiful mountain views! The large family room has a gas-log fireplace, a cable TV, a ceiling fan, a leather sofa & loveseat and a comfy recliner. Horseback riding facilities, waterfalls, hiking trails, zip-lining, and the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway (open-air train rides) are all nearby! The Benton Mackaye trail runs right through the mountain that the cabin sits on! There are also several lakes within hiking distance in this exclusive cabin community.

This cabin has central heat and air conditioning (not a window unit like some cabins have). The master bedroom has a comfy king size pillow top mattress and the guest bedroom has a comfy queen size pillow top mattress. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and both are on the main level! The master bedroom has a private full bathroom with a shower/tub combo and another flat screen cable TV! The guest bedroom has a private shower and sink (no toilet) and the hallway half-bath has a toilet & sink and is located just outside of the guest bedroom. In the basement, there are two twin/single beds, a queen sleeper sofa and a Foosball table! There are ceiling fans in every bedroom and the cabin interior has beautiful pine floors, walls and ceilings. Paved driveway and parking pad, and no-steps easy entry into the cabin!

Come and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature at "The Bear's Lair" cabin in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains! Don't forget your firewood for the firepit or it can be bought locally. Exterior security cameras are in use (out front only). The roads on the mountain have both paved and gravel sections. About 90 minutes north of Atlanta. No pets allowed. Please note that the posted rates are good for up to 4 guests. There are extra fees for more than 4 guests. You must enter the correct number of guests to get accurate pricing. Thank you.

Do not run a/c and gas log fireplace at same time. Any extra visitors must be approved by owner. No sitting on hot tub cover. Styrofoam will crack.

We really enjoyed our visit. Hot tub was great. The extra beds in the basement were great for the kids. Beds upstairs were really comfortable. Awesome view from the porch. We would rent this house again.

The Perfect getaway

We enjoyed the hot tub and foosball with the kids. Made family dinners and cuddled close to watch movies together as a family. It’s a cute little cabin at the top of Cherry Log Mountain. We had tickets to the Holiday Train in Blue Ridge which was within minutes of our location. We’ll have to come back in the Fall to check out the scenery more and enjoy some hiking during a little warmer weather. Definitely would recommend this listing for anytime of year! Happy Holidays!

You can hike from our cabin front door for about one mile and actually get onto the Benton Mackaye Trail! There are also numerous water falls in Fannin county to explore! Only a 15 minute drive to Downtown Blue Ridge where you can enjoy so many wonderful shops and restaurant options! About one hour to Helen, GA.
