LUXURY apartment in Chalet Argousier, GREAT LOCATION next to the SKI BUS STOP just a few stops from the Medran lift station and a gentle 6 minute walk to the Village Centre. Large South facing terrace with breathtaking views. Ground floor apartment ideal for groups & families, opposite the Sports Centre (indoor pool) on the road to the Place Central. Lift down to Private ski room. 2 supermarkets pharmacy medical centre & laundry just 80 meters from apartment. Apartment with Wi-Fi. The Restaurant Le Catogne just a 1 minute walk away, it's specialty Entrecote Catogne served sizzling in the pan under the flame also said to serve the best Fondue in Verbier. Lounge with wooden ceiling beams oak floor comfortable leather sofas large traditional open fire place. Luxury Wet room & Luxury Bathroom with under floor heating. 1 King size double bed, 2 twin beds can be made into a double and 1 room with 2 adult size sets of bunk beds (sleeps 4) all beds have quality sprung mattresses.

Near by: There are restaurants and plenty of shops very near by, for example there are 2 restaurants within 100 meters and 2 super markets, so no tired arms carrying back shopping! You can even hop in the car and drive straight into the commercial centre car park, opposite. But you don’t really need a car here at all. The Place Central is a gentle 5/6 minute walk, so it’s very easy to get home after your après ski and save your tired legs for the slopes! If you fancy a nice swim the sports centre is close enough to walk across in your swimming costume 50 meters away and includes a heated Indoor pool (12 x 25 m), play area for children, sauna, Turkish bath, solarium, tennis, squash, indoor ice rink (30 x 60 m), climbing wall, also NEW at the Sports Centre is Karting Extreme Verbier (go karting on Snow and Ice, brilliant fun) For the Ladies 35 min drive the fabulous Spa of one of Switzerlands best.

Apartment: The kitchen has the very best and new cook ware, crockery, glasses and utensils along with new appliances which include; electric kettle, liquidizer, electric juicer, microwave oven, Nespresso machine (no capsules provided)induction hob and state of the art cooker, George Forman grill, toaster and filter coffee machine. The kitchen units are solid wood with Granite splash backs and work tops.

The apartment is our second home and therefore very well equipped and furnished to a very high standard. We have created a relaxing, warm environment with soft lighting; the lounge has comfortable leather sofas, and traditional Swiss open fire place, oak floors and ceiling beams.

Outside is a large private terrace all around the apartment if you need to absorb the full Panoramic

mountain views or fancy some mountain air or a glance up at the stars after dark.

All the mattresses are all of a high quality and sprung, and there are two hair dryers in the bedrooms also the double bedroom is a flat screen wall mounted TV. There is a wall mounted flat screen TV in the lounge, with over 50 Satellite TV channels which include all the main English channels + local channels. Wi-Fi Internet access.

The Lounge & kitchen has a total 5 French doors to allow panoramic views of the Grand and Petit Combine mountain range and access to the terrace. The bedroom furniture is rustic hand made Swiss style solid wood.

There is a private ski room downstairs (1 flight) or take the lift, a travel cot is kept in our ski room, however you will need to bring your own bedding for the Travel cot. Floor area includes 1/3 of outside terrace.

  • The Wet room has under floor heating and a heated towel rail, but the mail attraction is the large power shower that you could be in danger of spending all morning in! The bathroom is tiled head to toe in Italian stone, again with under floor heating and a heated towel rail, and includes a deep bath and shower unit.

We have in the kitchen an Nespresso machine, capsuels not provided and also a filter coffee machine, coffee not provided. There is a parking space next to the apartment for use with the apartment, also the apartment is next to/opposite a car-park for additional cars. There is no washing machine for the use of guests however there is a laundry in the commercial centre very close by and one also 30 meters to the side of the Chalet. Links:

All around fantastic

What an absolutely wonderful apartment. It was the perfect size for a family of four and a couple of guests that popped in for a night here and there. The grocery stores and pharmacy across the street made for easy dinners at home with plentiful bread, cheese and wine. The free buses were easy to use and always on time which made getting to and from the lifts simple. Richard promptly responded to all of our questions. We couldn’t be happier with our choice and will definitely be back.

Excellent Apartment

Well located property close to all amenities and with excellent transport to the ski lifts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The owners responded very quickly to a couple of questions we had during our stay.

Nicely located apartment

Excellent experience - I highly recommend this property

The apartment is really well located, just next to the Catogne car park, walking distance to two supermarkets which is really handy.

The apartment is sunny, super clean, very well maintained.

I stayed here for two weeks. The first week I walked up the hill to the Medran lift in the morning which I enjoyed - a good way to get warmed up skiing. The second week when my children joined me I really appreciated that the bus stop was only about 100 meters walk - it comes every 10 min.

Richard is an excellent host, very responsive and very helpful.

The apartment, particularly the kitchen, is very well equipped you can tell that Richard and his family use the apartment and look after it very well.

There is no washing machine available to use - something I didnt realize - which is a bit of a challenge if you are travelling with young kids or for a long period of time.

I would very much recommend this apartment if you are traveling to Verbier.

Fantastic traditional luxury!

A warm and welcoming open plan apartment which is both luxurious and traditional. The wet room and underfloor heating was great and a second bathroom with bath and shower meant we could all get ready together. The sleigh bed in the master and solid wooden bunk beds were a nice touch and really comfortable.

There was plenty of seating in the living area with leather sofa's and chair to relax in the evening and being open plan meant everyone could chat easily. The sumptuous patio furniture was a nice surprise and as we had a mini heatwave during our entire week, it was used a lot.

The apartment location was perfect. Positioned towards the bottom of Verbier village, the sports centre is located just a short walk behind the apartment, the supermarket is close by and it is just a 10 minute walk to the centre where there are plenty of bars, restaurants and boutique shops.

We enjoyed lots of walking and the views were just stunning. One day we took the gondola up the mountain and hired scooters. They are more like a cross between a BMX, a mountain bike and a scooter, with BMX size wheels, full suspension and disk brakes. A must for adrenaline junkies who want to hurtle down the mountain, but equally suitable for my nervous wife who took a more leisurely pace. We stopped off at a mountain restaurant for a well deserved drink half way and you finish back at the gondola (Medran I think it was called) and just drop the scooters off. Brilliant fun!

There are loads of things to see and do. One day we went to Champex Lac which is so picturesque and you can hire pedalos, canoes or boats, or walk around the entire lake, another we went to St Bernard's pass and saw the dogs and museum and another we popped across to Italy which only took 1 hour, 20 minutes to get to Aoste and we enjoyed one of the best pizzas ever.

A thoroughly enjoyable week was had by all and we will definitely be returning to the Argousier apartment and Verbier.

Chalet Argousier is a wonderful place to stay and we had a perfect holiday:

Owner - Richard is very friendly, helpful, informative and extremely efficient, he answered emails almost before we'd sent them. He was also extremely accommodating, allowing us to change the dates of our holiday several times.

Apartment - it's just like it looks in the photos (minus the Christmas tree), lovely furniture, TV had lots of English channels to choose from, wifi was good enough for 2 teenagers which makes a change, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything that you need. It was also very clean and loved the heated bathroom floors.

Location - it's a great spot, we didn't bother with the bus we walked to Medran every morning to get the lift (it helped that we used the Ski Service lockers which I highly recommend) which stretched our legs before we started skiing. But if you did want to use the bus it's about a 30 yard walk and runs every 10 minutes. We had dinner in most nights but there are loads of restaurants around the apartment, we liked Chez Martin (great pizza) and Offshore Café (great veggie burger and deserts). We walked to Coop every morning before the kids got up for fresh bread and croissants for breakfast, it also stocked everything you need, and it's a bit bigger than the normal resort supermarket.

Skiing - the snow was great and runs were challenging enough to keep us interested all week, we skied the length of the Three Valleys on the last day and think Verbier is the best bit. Going across to Chable is well worth while, the red and black runs were long and at times it was just the 4 of us on the runs. Verbier introduced us to Yellow runs which are off piste runs marked out by just a pole every 50 yards or so.

I'm sure we'll go back.

Chalet Argousier; In Verbier is an ideal location for the perfect self catering ski holiday. As you will need easy access to the ski slopes, supermarkets, shops and the Place Central for Verbiers super après ski and fine restaurants, Chalet Argousier has all this! The bus stop is outside the rear of the apartment up a small slope. The Chalet is located on Chemin de la Croix which is between Ru de Centre Sportif and Route de Verbier Station. So just opposite (Route de Verbier Station) is the commercial centre with all the shops and supermarkets you will need, also just behind on (Ru de Centre Sportif) is more shops, which include a Ski hire shop, a CO-OP, The Wonder bar, etc, also located here is the Les Schtroumpfs day nursery. And of course if you need a swim in the heated indoor pool or a Turkish/sauna the sports centre is opposite. The place Central is just a gentle 6 minute walk! NEW FROM 2010 SHUTTLE service to the lifts from rear of the apartment, every 10 mins, just 1 stop!

Ski: The apartment position is excellent as is the skiing, just come out the apartment door and turn right up a small slope and you are on the ski bus stop where the service is frequent! The Medran lift is just four stops away or you can go on up to Savoleyres or the beginners slope of Les Esserts. We quite often use a ski locker at Medran (heated) and hop on the bus without our boots and skis. This means a pleasent stroll down Rue du Medran and enjoy the plentiful après ski bars and delightful restaurants and then collect our skis & boots from the locker in the morning and ski off for another perfect day of skiing! Also a 3 to 4 minute walk from the apartment if you have very young ones; is the Les Schtroumpfs day nursery, children taken from 3 months to 3 years: (next to the Moulin lift) open daily from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
