An enjoyable week in the Irish countryside

  • 5 of 5

The Earlson Farmhouse was a relaxing and peaceful location for the start of our Ireland vacation. We saw our first rainbow the day we arrived! We traveled with three friends and we were all very happy with the accommodations. The bedrooms were comfortable and the modern kitchen was a pleasure. Ann and Dan (and Sadie) were welcoming and helpful with our touring plans. We did day trips to Ring of Kerry, Dingle Bay, Kinsale, Cobh, Cliffs of Moher, Doolin and the Burren. We highly recommend this lovely farmhouse!

Beautiful surroundings inside & out

Dan and Anne are so hospitable and friendly - giving great advice on places to visit too. The farmhouse is beautiful, spacious and comfortable. We had a great trip to the Rock of Cashel - very worthwhile. Our first trip to Ireland was delightful.

Charming home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

Earlson Farmhouse is a charming old stone farmhouse in a lovely, lush setting. It is cozy and homey inside and very well supplied with anything you could need. Anne and Dan, and Sadie, too, were wonderful hosts who met us upon our arrival and made us feel like old friends. Dan's family has been on the farm for 6 generations and he has many tales to tell. We were able to visit Tipperary, Kerry, Dingle and so many interesting sites from this location. Truly a delightful stay on our visit to this beautiful country, Ireland.

Absolutely wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Dan and Anne's farmhouse for five days and it was absolutely lovely from beginning to end! Upon our arrival there was fresh bread, a fresh apple tart, eggs, bacon, sausage, milk, etc. We have rented through VRBO before but never had such wonderful thoughtfulness from our hosts. It was much appreciated!

The house and grounds are beautiful! The home was bigger than I thought it would be which was nice. I loved the history of it! Also it is in a perfect location for exploring the western parts of Ireland...

Anne and Dan were perfect hosts and very helpful and kind. We highly recommend you stay here if you are visiting Ireland!

So pleased with our choice of this site.

  • 5 of 5

Earlson farmhouse was exactly as represented on the site. We immediately loved the property and the owners. Anne and Dan were available and made us feel as if we had known them for years and were just popping in for a visit. The property is meticulously maintained, spacious and lovingly restored.

Our group included 3 ladies. We always felt secure and thoroughly enjoyed the grounds and walking in the area. The property can be used as a restful retreat as well as a central location for daily trips in and around southwest Ireland. The nearest town is Adare which we visited several times during our stay. It is a charming town that loves visitors. There is a local pub that recently opened and we enjoyed their services several times during our stay.

The property is approximately 50 minutes from Shannon airport and even with our early flight, we chose to return from a second leg of our trip in Kenmare to spend a bit more time before our flight out. I feel like we have left friends behind who we would love to visit again. Many thanks to Anne and Dan for their generous spirit.
